This question is a little out in left field so bare with me. I'm in a mood.

If you could live in a certain time period which would you choose?

Today, the future, medieval times, Victorian time or maybe as far back as the dinosaurs?

I've always wanted to be a cowgirl living out on the range with only my horse and my gun.

I always thought I should've been born late 60s/early 70s so I could be hanging out and rocking out with Lita Ford and be part of that music scene.

I have a bad immune system, so I wouldn't want to have been born much earlier than that - I would've died young.

I actually would have liked to be born sometime in the mid late 40's so the prime years of my life were in the 60's and 70's

I admire the amount of history my grandparent and parent in laws got to live through and witness, so0o much happened in that era musically, politically, so many different little and big revolutions.

now just sucks in comparison.

I'd have loved to be able to see the Beatles or the Grateful dead while Jerry was around too, actually get to see the wall of sound.

it'd be great. I'm like, what do we have now really? Nikelback and miley cyrus?

gah.

In the future. Like on Star Trek Next Generation and futuristic worlds where all is flowers and peace and no smog. Gardening in the sunshine and playing flutes all day. Dancing in the fields with my cats and lots of butterflies and flowers.

I was born in the 50s and did experience the explosion of tv shows like Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best. Watched TV all the time and then got into the 60s with flower power and hippies and smokin pot. Cheech and Chong. LSD. The Beatles, Elton and the Doors.

I would love to visit many past times (medieval, regency, renaissance, ancient greece, etc.) but I wouldn't want to live there permanently!

Would love to live in the future when space travel and contact with other species are the norm

Very interesting question!

Man, I don't know where I'd like to live... I'd LOVE to visit all sorts of times! Can I decide after I get a good feel for what it's like to live there??

I'd be super interested in the future, like a few hundred years. But I could easily see it being anywhere from a utopia to a disaster, so I don't want to just say "500 years from now!" and end up miserable.

Or in the past... I'd LOVE to live around what I imagine the 40s and 50s were like, they SEEMED idyllic to me, but I know they probably weren't like the TV shows showed it.

And then late 1800s, the cowboy days! Or at the very beginning of the US, late 1700s, early 1800s, I'd love to be one of the first "visitors" to Yellowstone!

Or before the US, and live with the Indians... Or in "classic" Japan, and some one mentioned ancient Egypt, that would be SO cool!!

Ok, so I'm indecisive... Too bad we can't really go time traveling!

I'm fine living in the time I'm in. I'd love to visit other times....the Roaring '20's, Victorian England, the Mayan civilization, the Roman Empire....you know, all of the periods that we learned about in history.

As many others have said, there are many times I'd find interesting to visit, but I really don't see staying there. I'm reasonably comfortable in my own time, thanks.
