His foster mom named him Parker, but I've been calling him BlackJack. I can't decide on a name for him.
I found him on PetFinder: he & his sister were abandoned at a high-kill shelter in Beaumont, and he was scheduled to be euthanized.
Thankfully, his foster mom took him & his sister in. When I saw his profile on PetFinder, I just knew he was going to be something special, so I drove almost 100 miles to adopt him. When I first held him in my arms, he tucked his little head in the crook of my arm just like my Maverick used to do, and needless to say, I was a goner.
He's such a sweetheart, and so laid-back & loving: he has the same purr-sonality that my precious Maverick had.
I still grieve every day over losing Maverick, but adopting BlackJack/Parker has helped to ease the pain a little.

Here he is in the infamous cheesehead kitty house:

yay a new kitty

had something to do with this! Congratulations!!!

I've thought of quite a few names for him, but none of them seem just "right" for him.

For some reason, I'm grieving pretty badly today over Maverick, and am not thinking too clearly.
