My cat Sasha's favorite toy is caps off of bottles, and she can play for hours with one. She loves it when I throw one so she can go chase after it, but recently she's been bringing it back when I throw it
After I throw it and she finds it, she returns immediately and drops it in front of me and meows until I throw it again. I've never really seen a cat do that, I thought it was hilarious so I had to share it

My Dusty will do that with her toys. I love it when she does that! There are several members here that have kitties that fetch.

Miles used to fetch, but not much anymore. Here's a video of Zoe fetching

She used to fetch endlessly, to the point where I had to ignore her or hide the toy. She got better about that as she got older.

Holland will chase and attack toys that I throw for her, but she won't bring them back to me. I'm sure that doesn't count as fetching...

ETA: Holland loves plastic bottle caps too. And empty tubes of lip balm. And boxes. And wadded up paper. And empty yogurt containers. Sometimes I wonder why I pay money to get her toys at all...

I have several that fetch, mostly sparkly pom poms or furry mice.

This is a video of Anastasia from about a year ago

Oh wow, it's more common than I thought! And here I thought it was only a dog thing

Mystik Spiral: Lol I agree, I buy my cats fancy toys and all they want to play with are either plastic caps, crumpled up pieces of paper, or tupes of lip balm

Blaze loves to play fetch! He will drop the toy for me to throw over and over... When he was a kitten he used to drop a toy on my when I was trying to sleep, then when I ignored it he'd keep poking at it (and me) until finally I threw it...then he'd come back 20 more times.
He doesn't do it when I'm trying to sleep as often but he still loves to bring me a toy to throw still, usually if I am sitting on the couch.
My Maine Coon, Roxy, also used to play fetch when she was a kitten but she doesn't much anymore.

My cat even likes to use a plastic bottle cap as a pillow:

HollyHeart (4 months) does this as well. I didn't know this was that common. She took a barbie doll pillow (where she found it- I don't know) and came trotting over to me and dropped it at my feet. It was SO FUNNY when I threw it and she brought it back!

Today she was playing "fetch" with a piece of paper. And the funny thing was- she was dropping it at Sneaky Pie's paws! Do you think she was bringing her a "present"?

She adores Sneaky. She was grooming her earlier today, and now she's practically laying on top of poor Sneaky

Just an hour ago I was throwing one of Holland's favorite furry mice for her. She runs after it, bats it around for a moment, then looks at me with her evil, glowing, basement cat eyes... And what do I do? I go pick up the furry mouse again and throw it for her to the other end of the condo so she can do the same thing again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

I think this qualifies as ME fetching...

Neko loves to fetch! Her favorite thing in the world. Even brings toys to me in bed! It's her main excersice program - fetching
Like someone else mentioned, if i dont throw her toy, she will meow at me and tap my arm with her little paw until I look down at her and throw her fetching toy.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Flowerbelle fetches - but only one toy - and it isn't small! She only fetches "her" wand toy. It is as old as she is (gonna be 7 years old this year!). It used to be pink feathers - but is now just pink nubs.
The wand itself is over a foot long, and the rope is at least 18" - it's hysterical to watch her dragging that thing around!

Too funny!
HollyHeart does have a wand toy, and for a while she was dragging it around. Then I guess she bit the end of it off, so now it's really short.

Squeak loves to play fetch with anything she can carry! Dusty doesn't play at all with anything!

My cat likes to play fetch, but she will drop it near you, not at you.
