Thank you all, I tell her all the time how pretty she is.
I too love that little black spot on her nose, it makes her look a little clumsy even though she is not. She is surprisingly agile for the size of her belly!
Still no kittens, but I am sure it won't be longer than a week until they arrive.

I will keep you all posted and will sure put more pics on when the kitties are born.

Guess what?! 2 hours after my last post, Goupille started having contractions!!
We now have 3 adorable healthy kittens
I have to say there were 4 of them, but one was stillborn and impossible to save: his organs had grown outside of his belly (intestines, stomach, everything), his spine was in an akward position and he weighed only 74 grams. It was a very sad moment. RIP.

Thank God, the 3 others were fine and the delivery went great for momma cat.

Let me introduce you to baby #1 (no names yet!): A pretty calico female weighing 122grams at birth and already 144grams 24 hours later.

This is now baby #2: A litte tiny compared to his sister and other brother, he weighed 113 grams at birth and 130 grams 24 hours later. He is a black male with white belly and paws as well as on his nose and face, but only on one side.

And last but not least, our heaviest at birt with 128 grams of pure catitude, another black male with a pretty white face as well as white paws and belly. He weighed 144 grams 24 hours after birth.

I couldnt get a decent family picture with the darkness of the box, but here's for now Goupille and her babies (one is not in the picture).

More pics to come as they grow up!

Yes, they do! I find it so special, they are really brother and sister!
I have a few more pics from today and yesterday. I only take a few pictures at a time so that I don't bother them too much. Also, I plan on updating the thread "the story of a pregnant cat" on the forum "pregnant cat and kitten care" to keep you all posted on the health and growth of these babies and their mommy.
Two of them have names now: those that have stripes on ther noses are Eva (the calico) and Zack (little black and white boy). I am still thinking for the third one. I would like a cute short name like Eva and Zack. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share!
Enough talking, I know you all want to see pictures!

First, 2 pics of the whole family together.

This is Zack (previously known as baby #2)

Baby #3 (still looking for a name)

And here is Eva (or baby #1)

I so hope they will grow healthy. I will do all I can to protect Goupille (the mommy) and her litte ones and I will be so strict when it comes to finding them a good home! I will be like " you better take care of them like you would with your own life!!!"

I'm the same way with all of my potential adopters. I make them promise to email me with updates, and they all do. I love it! In fact a couple who adopted one of my recent foster kittens is getting married at the end of the month and asked me if I would kitty sit their babies for them. Of COURSE I said yes.

so cute. she reminds me of a teddy. OMG kittens

Kailie, I bet you did say yes to kitty sit! I would too! I also always ask to get pictures and news from my fosters when they quit for new homes. Some of them do, some of them don't and I am always worried when I don't hear back from them. I also tell them and the shelter that once they come into my house, they are always welcome to come back if anything happens.
On a good note, one of the kittens hit the 200g (202g to be more exact!) today! It's #3. I think I will name him Tim. It suits him well. Everyone is doing great and the fastidious mark of the 4th first days is passed. They say sudden death of a kitten is really rare after 4 days of age. Let's hope it's true.

OMG - that is absolutely an adorable kitty family It really warms my heart to read this thread, to know that there are loving, courageous people who provide a home and love for pregnant kitties in need - the world can be so harsh. It's like a little bit of Heaven here on earth
