Last night when I went to bed I got up out of my chair and my legs felt funny. The muscles felt tight, and strange. I was telling DH about it, and I said "Here, let me show you what muscles are feeling funny" and I pulled up my jammie legs. I almost fell over, they were almost twice the size they were supposed to be. They were swollen, horribly.

Today I spent most of the day with them elevated, or sitting down. I got up to walk around every so often because of the fact I am so tired of laying down and sitting.

So after dinner tonight (my niece turned 4) I got up and noticed my muscles feeling a bit strange. My legs are swollen again! Not near as bad, so I am sitting, with my legs up again.

I'm going to call my doctor to see what's up. Should I be worried? They aren't painful or hot or cold. They feel just fine other then being tight, and seeming heavier then usual.

What can make legs swell?

I feel great other then that, besides a bit sorry for myself for not being able to eat the stuff I really like (that is bad for me).

Thank you.
Be safe.

Are you on any new medications at all hun? That might be some kind of side effect. I would call your doctor just because it's always better to be safe rather than sorry.

nope, no new medications at all.

I did just get out of the hospital for an intestinal blockage and compressed intestine near my colon. I spent 4 days on an iv. I am going to call my Dr, I was going to do it today, but I thought I would hold off cuz it is the weekend, and I figured it was something I had done. I took some tylenol yesterday, and thought maybe... but none today.

Be Safe.

Yeah, I tried. I noticed my legs were swollen Friday night just after midnight. The # I have is for his office, and I get that beep beep beep beep sound, like a busy signal but faster. I guess I have to wait til tomorrow. They swelled up yesterday, even though I had stayed off them, and kept the up more. It will probably go away by the time I get ahold of the Dr. but it has me concerned. Other then that, chest pains, and slight trouble breathing, I feel fine. My digestive track is back on track. Things seem to be moving right along like they should
(change in diet is helping I am sure!!
)

It's so nice being home, and hearing my kitty tearing through the living room, playing with her toys... and hearing her 'meyell' at me. lol

Be safe.

Oh Yeah... chest pains,and slight trouble breathing caused from pressure from my abdomin pushing up on my chest. My EKG said my heart was strong. Chest xrays showed my lungs are clear. My ox sat was between 100 and 97% the whole time I was in the hospital. My pulse and blood pressure were really low though. Last vitals they took, my heart rate was 39. They said it was because I hadn't been active. One nurse explained that in runners, and really active people that when they are at rest, their heart rates get really low. I'm not active like that, nor am I a runner. *shrugz* I feel fine though. The breathing issue is mostly while I am laying down, or bending over. So that doesn't scare me much.
