Does anyone have facebook pages for their kitties? I have pages for all 3 of my kitties. If anyone wants to have their kitties become friends with my kitties, they can be found under the following names:

Kaspurr Harper (white kitty)
Charlie Harper (gray/white kitty)
Cheeto Harper (orange/white kitty)

Thanks.

FYI they have closed people's account b/c of this. Actually I know people who changed their own profile picture to pets and it was shut down b/c they thought it was a fake account. They frown on multiple accounts.

I don't think you're supposed to make them actual profiles. They actually have some really neat applications for your pets on facebook though! I have one for each of mine. My cats have a "catbook" and my dog has a "dogbook" - They're cute apps!
(you can post on their wall, put pictuers up of them, talk about their favorite tricks, treats, toys, etc and make them a pet appropriate profile similar to yours)

IMO I don't see the reason for animals having a facebook account. I know someone who did (just for fun) and he gets all these kids wanting to be "friends" coz the pet is a cute doggie. Perhaps shutting down accounts due to being "fake" is not the only reason.
I know facebook will not allow accounts open if you are below 18 years old. But I sure know a lot of grade schoolers pretty happy enjoying the facebook games.

No it's the reason and it's fake in their opinion. That's why they have apps to do so like Nikkie said.

I have heard this too. I know a kid another forum was all in an indignant uproar because facebook canceled her dog's account.

I believe the age restriction is 13 years old on Facebook.

I have pics of Jake on there too...
some of my friends said it was weird, I was like umm well then don't look at my facebook page!!
It's because everyone else has pics from parties, vacations, etc lol.. I hate putting stuff like this on facebook, and I have turned off the ability for people to tag me, so the only pics I have on there are a few pics of myself and pics of Jake, also pics of me and Jake...

I know there is now some sort of pet facebook. That is probably where they want you to put your pets.

The shelter did make a facebook page for one of our cats. It has been up a long time & it has never been removed. Maybe it is because it is updated all the time and the content is real. She was a cat that came to us with 2 broken front legs. The page was started so that people can follow her surgery's and recovery. (if anyone is interested it is Bella Happyendings) I am pretty sure she has way more friends than I do.

You propably mean Catbook. It's an application which is supposed to be your pet's facebook profile. All of my kitties have a catbook profiles, but I rarely update them.

Yeah, do a search for "Catbook" in Facebook.

No, but my mom does for her dog as does my cousin for her dog. They did it just to get more friends on the games like Farmville. I think my husband would kill me if I made a page for my cat, though I have thought about it. lol

Yes, the age restriction is 13, not 18. I think my son is counting down the days until he turns 13 (he just turned 11) just so he can play the games. My mom lets him get on her dogs account and play the games there when he goes over to their house. My niece has a facebook acct and she is only 11. They lied on the acct, but I refuse to do that. My cousin was allowed to sign up for an acct on the day of his 13th birthday, it was one of his "gifts", and that's the way it will be for my son also. There are rules like that for a reason.

They used to have an application on facebook called Catbook, where you could make pages for your cats and they would be linked on your facebook. You could also add cats as friends to your cat's catbook. They also have dogbook. A friend with a dog got me started with catbook, but I never made any page for Hoshi or Neko, just Katina & Nero, and havent been on it in quite some time. (hence why i dont know if it exists)
