I can't wait to know what the answer is either!!In Glasgow, orange double-decker buses were a normal sight and an icon of the city until the late 1990s.
Yes that's why I went with Scotland....however I found another option but decided against it. LMAO. I bet it's the answer. Always go with your first choice.Originally Posted by ut0pia
I am surprised it's not Scotland because wikipedia says there are orange double decker buses in Glasgow..

The only reason I went with England was because the destination looked like "London" to me on the busOriginally Posted by Persi & Alley
One guess per person! Now you have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out the correct answer because I will not be back online until then. But I am going to relent and give a hint.
Hint: I knew England would be the first thing guessed but think: All of those double decker busses you have seen in England are RED. But there are countries around the world that still use or have used double decker busses for public transportation, all now or at one time under English control. Most are red. And that is why I took this picture, because they are not red.
OK, that narrows the field quite a bit. But if we do not get a winner now, there are going to be a lot of upset people in the morning when I reveal today's picture is as easy as if I had photographed Paris and screwed up and left the Eifel Tower somewhere in the picture!
It sure could. I meant for this to be a hard one but I forgot to blur out the destination on the lead bus. All any of you needed to do was to type in llandaff to google and it gives you Wales. If you could not read the destination, all you needed was a mouse with a magnifyer or a simple photo editor to blow it up a little. I will be more careful in the future. Now don't you feel silly for not thinking of doing that?Originally Posted by -_aj_-
could it be Wales?
The only thing I could read on the bus was the number 24. I figured it would be cheating to enlarge the image to read the destination.Originally Posted by Persi & Alley

Yes, the double decker busses in Scotland are also orange.
Note: This photo was taken in Cardiff. Once you get away from Cardiff, Welch is the language and according to Wikipedia is making a big comeback.
And yes, Wales is a country (just as Spain is part of the EU but is still a country.)
I lived in Scotland for about a year. I don't know about the government, but the Scottish people certainly believe that they own their own country.Originally Posted by ut0pia

I always thought the country was United Kingdom, lol I can't believe I didn't know England on its own was a country separate from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland!!! I thought they all make up the United Kingdom which is the country, but that they aren't sovereign states on their own.
We could get into some mighty heavy politics here but I do not wish this to be moved to IMO where I NEVER go. The UK is just that, a United Kingdom. To add to the confusion of (mainly Americans) is the name Great Britian, and just Britian. In addition to Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England, which are all countries, there is the Isle of Man which is not part of the UK at all and issues its own money and stamps. Therefore I include it in my list of 64 countries and some day you will see it in the "What Country is this" game. Source: Wikipedia.Originally Posted by ut0pia

Me either. I was thinking if others could then I need to see my eye doctor!Originally Posted by AddieBee
Ah, I wondered if it was Wales. I couldn't quite make out the destination on the bus, though.
