What are you doing to ring in 2010? Any traditions or anything?

The Beau and I will hopefully be going to a huge street festival in downtown Knoxville and seeing one of our favorite bands Holy Ghost Tent Revival. Here's one of my fave songs by them I'm sure we will probably do some bar hoping and may crash at one of the really nice hotels downtown but I will probably just be DD and get us home! May be just us or may be us and some of the guys at his work! Who knows! Although his parents may be coming up, so then I dont know what our plans will be... I kind of hope they just come by for dinner...

I'm going to a Music Festial - 10 hours away from home. I'll be biting my nails though because my cat is due and well you can't just pop home when you're that far away.

I'll be listening and dancing to Sneaky Sound System - drinking Jeiger & Red Bull!

Not much really. DH and I usually rent a bunch of movies, either through a video store or through On Demand and will watch 'em in bed with the cats. I make appetizer-type foods and we'll munch throughout the night We usually go to sleep around 3:00 or so in the morning.

On New Year's Day, we're having friends come in for brats and sauerkraut in beer in the crock pot and we'll all bring some type of food. I'm making a wonderful Reuben dip (if you like Reubens, that is) with even more sauerkraut...can you tell I love sauerkraut? And probably some pita chips. Not sure about any kind of dessert yet. We'll play games and just enjoy everybody's company. It will be fun.

We used to go out and party, but don't bother anymore.

And the best part? I have a four-day weekend! WooHoo!

NYE is almost always a quiet evening. We don't like being on the road b/c of all the drunks and amateur partiers. At our age and stage, we are well past that.

Since my boyfriend's birthday is Jan. 3, I often make his birthday dinner that night. He likes rack of lamb. So the tentative menu is Moroccan style lamb, sweet potato mash, sauteed spinach with pine nuts and raisins (Spanish style) and home made apple pie. We will probably rent a movie or watch On Demand... and be in bed by 11 pm.

I'm sure we'll be at home.

My brother came over to OKC from Arkansas and brought us a bottle of Altus Spumante. Just as good as Asti, and less than half the price.

Time to watch some movies, maybe.

We are going to London to visit some friends. We were originally going to go to the new bar here in town but decided not to because it will be too busy.

I will propably go to a party held by my old friends, or to party with some newer friends to see if I could meet more new friends...

Luckily my kitties are fine with fireworks and stuff like that, they mostly just ignore them so I don't need to worry that they are frightened to death while I'm away.

DH almost never stays up till Midnight, ever, so we will be having a quiet evening at home. Maybe play one of his new wii games or something. I have some dips and pretzels from Le Gourmet Chef we can munch on; but I'm not going all out. My parents like to have a small dinner on New Years Day; but again nothing fancy. I'm not sure I'll be up either. Lately it's unpredictable.

I have work until 4:30pm unless we finish early like we did on the 23rd. After work i will go home and get all prettied up so my hubby to be and i can go to a club in a town near by where my bro is throwing a NYE bash and his band is preforming. Since we dont drive his gf will pick us up and we will spend the night at their place since they live near the club and everyone will be safer. We wont be drinking, but i am sure we will find some ways to have a good time

I'll be in church for Watchnight Services like I have been year after year...and I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel I owe it to God to start my new year in His house. I'm also going to be reading the old and new scripture readings at my church so I have to be there...and on time too. After that...I don't know. I typically either go to an iHop or all night diner, eat and go home and enjoy my last day off before I have to go back to work.

I'll be celebrating my German Shepherd, Hagan's 1yr "Gotcha Day" on NYE!

After that I think my boyfriend Jack is having a small get together with some of our friends at his condo....so possibly that too!

We tend to stay home, have a late lovely leisurely dinner, that winds gently down to midnight, then toast the New Year with some bubbly (the rest of which goes in the orange juice in the morning), and fall into the sack by about 1 am.

Sometimes, we have a close friend or two over to join us. This year it will likely be just US. I have what I hope will be a nice dinner planned out, completely from a gorgeous cookbook I got for Christmas. DH enjoys being a culinary guinea pig, and I enjoy experimenting on him.

As it turns out I actually do have plans now, but they are not drastically different than the ones before, except that I am now going to my friends house rather than her comming here.

And I am also making Tortellini's for our movie marathon night.

Mine will be slightly awkward

Angelo and I are planning on going to the local dive bar and Toby (my ex-boyfriend) will be our DD.
Angelo and Toby did talk on the phone last night and it seems everything will be cool, just awkward.

We all intend to have a great time though.
