Yeah, I think you know how this is going to end.

I have a "perch" going across my tub, basically a 12" wide piece of wood - that the kitties jump on if they want to get a drink from the spout, or to come up and visit me when taking a bath.

And so, Oliver decided to pop up and visit. He's typically not too scared of water; when getting a drink, he'll dip his paw under the spout or occasionally let it run over his head for a bit.

But today, out of nowhere, he inches closer...and dives in. He had to go around the back of me to get out, and as such I have a few punctures and scratches to show for it. The real fun, however, was getting out of the tub to chase down my equally drenched cat. What a sight, a naked guy running around his apartment, chasing a cat with a towel.

I'm quite sure that being on the 3rd floor has saved me from having charges filed against me on numerous occasions.

You are very accomadating to your cats.
Mine don't have a nifty perch, they just hang over the side.

As to the mental image you conjured up.....very funny.
At least you had an excuse for the streaking....I swear my neighbors are gonna form a committee to oust me from the neighborhood for my clothing optional policy.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
That's happend to me before, and it's usually Sophie who slips in the bath
The worst time was when she was balancing on the edge of the bath watching the water go, i bent down to dry my legs and knocked her in

You know, suddenly I feel like taking a bath because I feel sorta warm.

Poor Oliver. He is probably trying to figure out which was worse. Falling in the tub or being chased by his naked human.

we have a turkish van, known as the "swimming cats".
our cat when she was a kitten was sitting on the edge of the tub watching my wife take a bath.
all of a suddend she decides she wants to take a swim, she jumps in, swims around for awhile then she wants out.
i did not get a picture, but wish i had.
this morning while i was in the shower, she sticks her head in the shower and plays with the water.
she even lays in the tub allot, she doesn't care if she gets wet, she just loves water.

That's hilarious!!

What I find even more amusing is that even after this whole ordeal and catching your kitty with the Towel, you decided "Hmm this would make an awesome TCS post! Let me grab the camera!"

While Oliver is wondering what the heck just happened!

Indeed.
When something of incident happens with my babies, that's one of the first things I think of; gotta tell my cat friends!
