Laurie,

Congrats on being the person of the week! Man, I have learned a lot about you! Most of it good!

I loved Snake_Lady's question about your nails. So, if you bite your nails and paint your toenails, can and do you bite your painted toenails?

My turn:

1. Would you like to be a dolphin or an eagle?
2. You like to swim, so can you swim the butterfly?
3. Do you like to go to zoos?
4. If you were a bumblebee, what flower would you pollinate besides your favorite corn flower?
5. Are you afraid of jellyfish?
6. Do you have coyotes where you live?
7. Have you ever seen a non-chocolate moose?
8. Have you ever stared into an ostrich's eyes?
9. Would you like to pet a starfish?
10. Are you afraid of spiders?

OK, I think I'm ready!

1. If you could spend one year in perfect happiness, but afterward would remember nothing of the experience would you do so? If not, why not?
I wouldn't do it, because I couldn't remember it, so it would be as if it never happened. I know that as I age I forget many things, people and places.... but I don't want to intentionally "lose" a year of my life.

2. Do you think the world will be a better or worse place in 100yrs from now?
I think it will be different! I don't know that I can think of changes through time as better or worse.

3. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the body or the mind of a 30yr old for the last 60yrs of your life, which would you want?
While I've never though of myself as vain, my family seems to have great "aging" genes on both sides of the family, and everyone has totally retained their full faculties - though of course, all definitely have/had their "senior moments."
So all of that said, my first thought is that I'd want to retain the body of the 30-year old, because it's a good bet my mind is going to hang in there pretty well. BUT.... I wouldn't want my friends and Gary to age without me, so I'm going to have to go for keeping the mind of a 30-year old.

4. What would constitute a perfect evening for you?
Pretty much every evening I have, only Gary has no pain.
A good (or fun) movie, snuggles, Gary and kitties. I guess to make it perfect, Gary would have already made a great dish a previous day, so we could just pop it in the microwave. And I'd unplug the phones.

5. Would you rather be given $10K for your own use or $100 000 to give anonymously to strangers? What if you could keep 1million or give away 20million?
For $10,000, I'd rather take the $100,000 and give it away. For the $1m vs $20m, because Gary and I are good at making money via investing (it's what we do for a living), I'd rather take the $1 million, because we'd be able to put it to good work for ourselves and the benefit of others (including kitties!
).

6. If you knew there would be a nuclear war in one week, what would you do?
If you'd have asked me that 20 years ago, my answer would have been "head to the epicenter." Nuclear war was not something I particularly wanted to survive. But post-Gary re-entering my life, I see things differently. In fact, we're pretty prepared for surviving in really difficult circumstances. So now I'd just want to head to our storage unit and get all our survival gear out, set-up, and ready to use.

7. Would you accept twenty years of extraordinary happiness and fulfillment if it meant you would die at the end of the period?
Given that Gary and I are 46 and so far it looks like he will never be pain free, if the extraordinary happiness and fulfillment meant he'd be pain free, I'd take the 20 with the guaranteed death. I would love to guarantee I've got 20 years with Gary left.

8. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life? Is there anything you hope to do that is even better?
I've actually done a number of things I'm proud of. The first part of this question was asked, and earlier I answered that I'd have to go with all the kitties we've saved/rescued/TNR'd (and that includes the founding of a no-kill shelter). But today I'll be prouder of a different accomplishment.
Saving the life of the woman who is now our daughter, and getting many of her friends off drugs and off the street.

9. If you could chose the manner of your death, what would it be?
Either some form of violent but extremely quick death where Gary and I die at the same time - or dying peacefully in my sleep.

10. If you could have free, unlimited service for 5yrs from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, housekeeper, massuese or personal secratary which would you choose?
I'm going with the chauffeur! There's not much to keeping the RV tidy and clean, I'm too much of a control freak, type too well, and am already so organized I don't need a secretary (I was one for a number of years!) - and Gary's a fabulous chef. So it's between chauffeur and masseuse. Because of our commute into the city and to so many doctors, a chauffeur would make our lives SO much easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I do, and quickly. I don't know what the words per minute are these days, but I doubt it's deteriorated much. In fact, it's how I earned money traveling around the world. Typing services are needed EVERYWHERE!
Before I joined the alternative education program in high school, I was in a program where they condensed all of the classes together, eliminating all free periods and lunch, and it included office training, and the point was to get a job part-time in the afternoon. But as a part of this program, you had to join some organization (forget what it was called), but we had to go to these competitions that included all this crazy stuff. I participated in the typing and the "interviewing" (!!!
) competitions. I ended up making Nationals for both, and won the typing competition with 112 WPM (no errors!) (I definitely make errors now though
). I came in third in interviewing. Whatever....

2. do you sing in the shower?
No, but sometimes I whistle!

3. do you bite your nails?
You know, I did for many, many years. I don't remember when I stopped - it wasn't intentional or conscious. But I haven't for a long time now!

4. have you ever going a speeding ticket?
No, I haven't. But Gary drives about 85% of the time, and he's gotten quite a few.

5. do your friends tend to be older or younger than you?
They tend to be older - even now!

6. have you ever met a person whom immediately you didn't like? ( just like a gut feeling )
Definitely. But I have to add that I'm a terrible judge of character.

7. have you had pets other that what you have now?
No. The family had a rescue doggie when I was very young, and I still remember her. She (Pavie) was HUGE - an Irish Setter cross with something (her hair was like a red wolf hound!). Not too long after she passed, my parents came home with the cutest Welsh Terrier - we gave him a Welsh name, Kyffin. He passed a year after I left for college.
Gary and I did get fish to entertain the kitties - but I was never really into them. We gave them away when we moved back into the RV. But Gary took such good care of them that the Danios gave birth, so we had a whole new "crop" of them!

8. do you paint your toenails?
I do. Usually dark purple, though they're a kind of orchid purple right now.

9. how many hours on average do you spend on the computer?
Well, given my job is research and report writing, it usually goes on around 7:00am - 8:00am in the morning, and is pretty much on until 10:00pm or so at night. I do turn it off when Gary and I head out to run errands, doctors, or go for a walk or hike, which can total anywhere from 1/2 hour a day to 3 - 4 hours a day.

10. Boxers or briefs?
sorry, couldn't resist..... of course it goes without question that I mean Gary...hmmmm, although..... I could change it LMAO
Boxers!

1. Do you have a favorite Asian dish?
Oh, too many.
Favorite Japanese food is Toro sushi.
Favorite Thai food is either Boo Jah with a red curry paste or some type of Pad Thai.
Chinese... I prefer Szechuan to Cantonese. Ummm.... probably a tea smoked duck.
Korean - I LOVE kimchi, but that's not really a dish. I'm going to have to go with beef Bulgoki (some spell it Bulgogi).

Favorite Indian dish.... I really can't pick just one. I tend to love various vegetable curries. I can no longer tolerate the spicy required to eat Southern Indian dishes - but in the U.S. I only know of one restaurant on Long Island that even serves them.

Vietnamese - probably C'om Tam, though I love various summer rolls.

2. What city in Asia would you like to visit? Why?
I don't know why, but I've never been too interested in visiting Japan.
I've been all over India and to Nepal, and I was in Lahore for about a week. Umm.... I'd probably want to go to Manila. I've met so many people from the Philippines.

3. Remember that program in National Geographic about American families living experience with a different culture? Would you and your family be willing to do it? Why?
Actually, I don't.
Is it American families going to live overseas, or having other families come live with them? Well - either way - I wouldn't be willing to have another family come live with Gary and me. First of all, they wouldn't fit in the RV! (There's barely room for us with seven kitties!
).

If it's going to live somewhere else... I'd still have to say, probably no. I lived in India for a year with various families, I lived in Central America for eight months, three of those with a family there, and I've traveled to quite a few other places outside of the U.S..... and I've learned a lot about other people and cultures. Same with Gary. He lived in the Middle East for almost 10 years, and he's been all over Europe, Asia, and many South American countries.... so we've really pretty much done the cultural exchange - just not as a family.

Unrelated question - if you play in the TCS Arcade, which is your favorite game?

I've never been to the TCS Arcade.

I did forget to include Golden, Colorado.
But other than Colorado, we didn't really travel to many of the central states.... primarily because we stopped and stayed in places where there were companies we needed to research/analyze for work. Of course we preferred working up North in the summers and down South in the Winters.
But there is absolutely nothing wrong with MO!

Have you ever seen a tornado other than on tv?
Yes, and funny enough it was in Hoboken, NJ!
I've also seen several water spouts in Florida - VERY cool.

Are you afraid of storms?
No, and not that I can remember. I was a little freaked in my first earthquake, and it was just a baby at like 4.8 or 5.2 on the Richter scale. I just didn't know what was happening at first!

Of all the gemstones, other than amethyst, which is your favorite? Diamonds, emeralds, sapphires ect.
Truly, I think they're all beautiful. Though I must tell you, Gary and I were in a meeting where we were presenting our research stuff to a large firm. The Director of Research was this teeny little woman. Gary stopped mid-sentence, stared at her hand, and said, I am SO sorry to interrupt, but I have to ask - is that one of the Fleur de lis? (The Hope Diamond was cut from a larger french diamond - I don't remember how many "offshoot" diamonds were created, but one of the offshoot diamonds was cut into four stones, called the Fleur de lis). It was the BIGGEST diamond you've ever seen (on a person and not in a museum). It was at least 10 carats - and it was not laid flat, it was like a crystal, and stood up at least an inch off her hand. I mean it was GIGANTiC and the bluest aqua blue...

Do you believe in ghosts?
I believe there are an infinite number of universes and possibilities, and that there are many different levels and planes of existence, and that we can at times perceive them in this one.

Are you into astrology?
I believe that where we were born in space and time affects us as individuals, but I seriously doubt the ability of anyone to properly interpret it.

Are you religious or spiritual?
Spiritual.

Do you believe in reincarnation?
Not in the sense that we may return as an ant or something, but I do believe that we have "souls" (for lack of a better word) that are part of a larger consciousness, and that the universe doesn't waste anything. I think we can be aware of a continuum through time that surpasses this lifetime (and potentially this universe). I do not believe in a "static" heaven and hell, unless heaven is defined as final unity with the "one" consciousness. I take the story of Adam and Eve as the individual consciousness being separated from the One.

Do you believe in the supernatural?
I think that is a word we use to define experiences or things we cannot explain, and see my answer as to my belief in ghosts, above.

Thanks for all the great answers so far!!
I'm still having fun!

here´s your daily torment...
Torment - like being "tortured" with a feather!

1. Have you ever to sleeped on satin sheets?

Yes. I prefer a REALLY high thread count cotton.

2. Can you whistle?
Yup. But I can't do a "wolf" whistle!

3. Favorite color?...
PURPLE!

4. Would you be a Pirate? (Disguise for Halloween…..arrrrrrrrrrgh!)
Maybe.
I prefer getting really creative with it. My favorite was when I was a baked potato. I wrapped myself in one of those large, thin silver "rescue" blankets, stuffed it with newspapers to be the proper shape, cut a large corner off a cereal box and covered that in yellow construction paper, cut more of the yellow paper to make it look like melting/dripping butter and taped it along the "split" section of the potato, and added a big bunch of parsley.

5. What songs do you sing in the shower?...

I tend to whistle - often the equivalent of a hum but in whistle. I also whistle "whistle while you work" a lot!

6. Favorite Girl's Name?...

Aria

7. Favorite Baseball Team?..

Not a big baseball fan. Favorite Hockey team is the Detroit Redwings.

8. Favorite boy's name?...

Bryn - not Bryan. Short version of Brynjoff.

9. What's in your pocket right now?...

I'm wearing pajama pants, so no pockets!

10. Last thing that made you laugh?....

Shelly shoving his nose in Gary's armpit!

Hi Rosemary!

I loved Snake_Lady's question about your nails. So, if you bite your nails and paint your toenails, can and do you bite your painted toenails?

I had to see if I could even get my toes in my mouth! I would physically be capable of biting my large toenail.

My turn:

1. Would you like to be a dolphin or an eagle?
Wow! That's a tough one. I think I'll go with dolphin. Seems like they have more time to be playful.

2. You like to swim, so can you swim the butterfly?
Yes, I can! It's a lot more work these days than it used to be though.

3. Do you like to go to zoos?
If I'm with kids. Otherwise I find it kind of depressing. I think there are some wonderful zoos, and I think they provide a valuable public service, but....

4. If you were a bumblebee, what flower would you pollinate besides your favorite corn flower?
Pansies, hyacinth, lillies of the valley.

5. Are you afraid of jellyfish?
No, but I don't want to get too close to them - they sting!

6. Do you have coyotes where you live?
No, we don't. There's an organization a little north of here working to reintroduce wolves, though.

7. Have you ever seen a non-chocolate moose?
Yes! Saw quite a few while in Canada. We got held up for about 20 minutes waiting for a mom to coach her calf off the highway!

8. Have you ever stared into an ostrich's eyes?
No, that I have not done.

9. Would you like to pet a starfish?
Not really. I've touched one before, but I prefer petting fur.

10. Are you afraid of spiders?
No, thank goodness. Gary is terrified of them. While on a camping trip he got bitten by a Fiddleback, and he had a terrible allergic reaction to it. He broke out in huge raised squares and got really sick - and, actually, pictures of it wound up in some medical book. I squish them if they're in the house, but I do apologize to them first. But if it's a Daddy Longlegs, I will put it outside if I'm not already in bed to go to sleep.

1. Can you drive a motorcicle?
I've never tried.
Only went on one date with someone who had a bike, so I've ridden on one. I didn't "get" the whole motor cycle thing.

2 Worst injury you've ever had?...
Thankfully it was just a rip in my leg. I was in the front yard raking leaves, and some boys on bikes started chasing me. I was in 5th grade. I ran across the street and jumped over the neighbor's hedge. Turned out they used to have a fence made of metal posts that held wire. The top of one of the posts was hidden by the hedge, and it's top was all mangled up. I heard my pants tear as I jumped and then fell. I stood up, looked down - and saw this rather large looking hole in my leg!
Dad was at work, mom at the library - I looked around - saw my neighbor, and ran over there. Fortunately, I was in shock and didn't feel a thing. He laid me down on the front lawn, ran in and called an ambulance. It took a lot of stitches, and when I look down, I see an upside-down, backwards "L" that is about 4" on the long side and 3" long on the short side. Doc said I was very lucky - apparently I missed the femoral artery by a couple millimeters.

3. Do you love where you live?...
I've pretty much loved everywhere I've lived. I lived out of a backpack for so many years, that I developed the sense of "wherever I am is home." Now, so long as Gary (and the kitties) are with me, I'm good. But it is lovely here, and whenever we drive home, I marvel at the beauty.

4. How many TVs do you have in your house?.....
Two! One in the living room and one in the bedroom.

5. Who is your loudest friend?...

Gary! He is usually very loud!

6. Do you have any pets?(apart of your kitts of course
)…....
No. Tried fish (as entertainment for the kitties), but when we moved out of the house, we gave them away. I wasn't really into them.

7. Does someone have a crush on you?...

Not that I know of! (Apart from Gary.
)

8. Your favorite book(s)?

I'm going to stick with the books I'd take with me to the desert island.

9. Do you collect anything?...
Limoges cat boxes. But we haven't had any money to add to the collection for a long time.

10. What song do you want played at your funeral?

I'd love it if my funeral were a party, and my favorite music (1970s rock) was played.

Easy. If the car is unlocked, we give the dog some air and water if it doesn't seem like it's going to attack if we open the door. If it's locked, we get the license plate number, note the color and kind of car, and head to mall authority, and tell them to page this person (which we do after doggie has water if we're able to take care of that). From there, it depends upon the situation. If mall authority wants to deal with it, we take them to the car to meet the person there. Otherwise we head back out there. If it was an "honest" mistake, we probably let it go. But if we get a bad vibe off the person, we call the SPCA (who handles those things here) and report as much info as we can. I don't know if they can follow up just based on a license plate, if we're unable to get name and address (which if person sucked I'm sure we wouldn't), but we report it in the hopes they can.

2. If you knew that in one year you would die sudeenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living?
I realized years ago I could die at any moment, so I've always tried to live my life without regrets. So I'd have to say no.

3. Is it easy for you to accept help when you need it? Will you ask for help?
It is difficult for me to accept help, and I'm pretty willing to ask for vibes at TCS - but usually for Gary, kitties, or a work situation, almost never for myself (actually... ever for myself? I don't know!). But I am MUCH better at giving than receiving.

4. Would you have one of your fingers surgically removed if it somehow guaranteed immunity from all major diseases?
Only if Gary could do it too.

5. Is there something you've dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?
The only thing I can think of is getting up to see Naomi. We haven't because we can't afford it, and Gary's got too many problems that are preventing it.

6. How was your day? (had to throw a light one in there...at least it wasn't about underwear)
Been a good day! Went grocery shopping in almost record time, found a lot of what I needed on sale, remembered to get everything (no list with me!), and got a bunch of work done this morning.

7. What are your most compulsive habits? Do you regularly struggle to break these habits?
Smoking is the worst. I smoked since I was 13 or 14, and I tried many, many times pre- and post-Gary to quit. Together we quit for close to a year. I don't really remember why or how we started again. We tried to quit SO many times, especially after getting the kitties.
We quit in March (again), and it "stuck" for several weeks. Right now we're once again a week of smoke-free time, but we'll see.
Other than that, the only compulsive behavior I had that I can think of was biting my nails. I tried for years to get myself to stop. It was about a year after Gary and I were married that it just seemed to go away on its own.

8. Does the fact that you have never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?
Hmmmm, that's an interesting one! Probably increase. For instance, I loved fishing - so I always look forward to fishing again. And when I find a "perfect" dish at a restaurant, I tend to keep ordering the same thing, rather than trying new things.

9. Would you like to have your rate of physical aging slowed by a factor of thirty or so as to give you a life expectancy of about 2000 years? (assuming Gary could do it also because I know your answer if he couldn't

You knew this answer too - only if he could be pain free, because we're struggling with the thought of him living another two years like this, let alone another 20, let alone 2000! But if he could be pain free, I'd do it!

10. Would you accept $10 000 to shave your head and continue your normal activities sans hat or wig without explaining the reason for your haircut?
Right now, yes.

1.- How many cats have you ever had in your enterely life?

I never had a cat before we started rescuing! So it's just the kitty that started it all for us, Booger, these seven, and all the fosters we've had along the way.

2.- could you tell us the name of the list above?

In order: Booger, Lazlo, Sheldon, Spooky, Tuxedo, Flowerbelle, Ming Loy, and Billy.

3.- Do you have any preference about of Breeds of cats?
DSH Ferals!

4.- Do you dream with cats when you sleeps?
Yes, but sadly I never have happy dreams with cats in them, just nightmares when I read about horrible things being done to cats.

5.- Have you ever to give catnip at your kittys to play?
Yes, and they love it and are SO entertaining when they go nuts with it!

6.- Wich brand do you prefer to give at your kitty in Wet and Dry food to eat?
We've always let them free feed on kibble, and we give them one meal of wet food a day. We decided to do the meal at night so we could have peace in the mornings on the weekends and be able to sleep in late!

7.- Would you like to work like a volunteer on a Cat shelter?

We started a no-kill cat shelter and worked there as volunteers for some time. But then we got busy when we "rescued" Naomi (our adopted daughter), and things took off on their own there. Right now? I've got my hands full with Gary.

another stuffs...
8.- Wich one is your favourite colour to wear?
Casual: purple shirts. Dressy: black.

9.- Do you have some earrings with shape of cat?
No, but I saw someone with the CUTEST ear cuff - a kitty climbing up her ear. Sadly it was a gift and she didn't know where to purchase one.
I have several cat pins though.

10.- do you have some blouse with stamps of cats?
Yes, several! And lots of "pajama" bottoms (or "house pants") with kitties on them. And lots of socks with kitties on them.

11.- do you collect or you have handcraft of kittys?
We have received a lot cat-related gifts, especially when we moved out of the RV into a house. Book-shelf kitties made of wood, metal kitty sculptures, cast iron kitties, several VERY cool kitty statues... but they're all in storage now.

12.- how many purses do you have?
None! I never actually had a "purse" per se. When I began my professional career, I did move "up" to a Coach leather bag, and it fit the laptop. But I started having problems with my shoulder and neck, so Gary suggested a backpack, rather than something I carry on one shoulder. He bought me a gorgeous dark brown leather backpack, and that's what I've used for about 7 years (and it is STILL in great shape - even the lining inside!
). Even when we go to really dressy functions, that's what I bring with me. I really don't care what others think about it - though it really is kind of incongruous. But without the laptop, it averages about 8 pounds. I travel around prepared for all kinds of stuff.

.....I hope not boring you with my questions my friend...Cheers chick!..
Not at all! I really have been having fun - and learning lots about myself.

Actually, I want to thank everyone for the questions!

Hi Laurie
How are you today?
I've been so busy reading your answers that it's taking me awhile to come up with questions. Great answers btw!

Ready for some more?

What is your favorite TV show?
What is one thing you do everday to relax?
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Do you/did you ever write poetry just for fun?
Are you comfortable spending time alone?
What's the nicest thing someone has done for you in the past month?
In jewelry, do you prefer gold, white gold, sterling silver or platinum?
What is the last purchase you made that was a waste of money?
Do you consider yourself to be organized?
Who is your favorite historical person and why?
Do you have siblings and are you close to them?
Have you/can you roller skate or ice skate?
Can you ride a horse?
How old were you when you had your first kiss?
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Have you ever cut your own hair?
If you could be someone else for one day, who would you be?
Looking out your window right now, what do you see?
What is your favorite candy?
What is the most unusual thing you have ever eaten?
If I opened your refrigerator, what leftovers would I find?
Is there anything that you keep putting off doing?
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I'm having a great day! Hope you are too!! Ready!

What is your favorite TV show?
We don't have real time TV for several years, but lots of DVDs. It changes. But right now it is Black Adder.

What is one thing you do everday to relax?
Play with the kitties.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Spending two weeks every summer at my maternal grandparents' farm. I LOVED heading out at sun-up every morning to help my grandpa water the chickens, and put out feed for them and the sheep... and we/I always went so that we'd be there for the Allentown Fair. Later in life he raised sheep and chickens for their genetic lines (so for show - he was actually quite famous on the East coast). I LOVED helping him prep the animals for the fair!

Do you/did you ever write poetry just for fun?
No. I'm not particularly creative that way.

Are you comfortable spending time alone?
Totally and completely!!!

What's the nicest thing someone has done for you in the past month?
I think this was in the past month - it was recent, anyway. Someone from TCS sent a surprise package full of kitty toys, and it SO made my day/week/month!

In jewelry, do you prefer gold, white gold, sterling silver or platinum?
In my teens and 20s, I preferred silver. Now I prefer 18K gold.

What is the last purchase you made that was a waste of money?
A cat toy none of the kitties liked!

Do you consider yourself to be organized?
I am VERY organized.

Who is your favorite historical person and why?
This one got asked before.
Here's my answer: "Honestly, I can't narrow it down to just one. While I admire and can appreciate great works of art, writing, architecture, beautiful music, and political, military or organizational accomplishments, I'm much more "science" based in my wiring. So how do you pick just one? Euclid for geometry enabling so many things - or Galileo for figuring out the Sun is a star? Copernicus for figuring out we rotate around it? Newton for figuring out the reason why? I'd have to lump them together, and say that I admire the people that figured out that we live in space and our relationship to it the most. Although.... I really have to mention Napoleon, for in the "modern era" creating non-religious based education."

Do you have siblings and are you close to them?
My family has never been particularly close, and we were not particularly encouraged to talk about what was going on in our lives - lots of caring, but very little sharing. I have a sister, 6 years older than me, and a brother, 7 years older than me (can you say "accident?
). They both resented me, though my sister more than my brother. Doesn't help that my mom had postpartum depression bad enough to send them to live with her parents for 1/2 a school year after I was born.
In fact, my sister and I hated each other so much, all I remember was a LOT of fighting. But once she'd been gone for college about 3 years, she invited me to visit her. We kind of made up and became friendly-ish after that. We e-mail each other about once a month. She lives in AL. I live in NJ, and the last time I saw her was at my parents' 50th wedding anniversary in 2003.

As to my brother, I don't care much for his wife. We get along fine, but don't have much to say to each other. He keeps me up via e-mail on what's going on with his kids.

Have you/can you roller skate or ice skate?
I can do both - did both a lot in my younger years, but haven't for some time.

Can you ride a horse?
Yes, but never took lessons, and have only been riding about 10 times or so.

How old were you when you had your first kiss?
8th grade. So... 14?

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
12, if you include the hiking boots, winter boots, and sandals.

Have you ever cut your own hair?
No, but Gary's cut it before.

If you could be someone else for one day, who would you be?
Hmmm.... I'm going to have to think about this one! I have no idea!

Looking out your window right now, what do you see?
A beautiful oak tree, the deck, the "front" yard (grass), and the neighbor's trailer. (If I look to the left, I see LOTS of mud - it has been raining almost non-stop for days!)

What is your favorite candy?
Right now, Milky Way Midnight!

What is the most unusual thing you have ever eaten?
Tripe. Or the goat head.
But I've never eaten monkey brains or chocolate covered ants or anything (never been offered them either). But I've definitely eaten a lot of stuff I don't know what it was, so I might not know just how strange a something I've eaten!

If I opened your refrigerator, what leftovers would I find?
Hummus, ham, Guatemalan chorizo, rice pudding, part of a watermelon, and a mix of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries - but the berries we intentionally make more than we can eat in one sitting.

Is there anything that you keep putting off doing?
The taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Right now, it'd be that I'd feel great, be alert and "on top of my game" and emotionally stable with just four hours of sleep. !!!!!
