Awww, she sounds soo adorable
I'm glad she's growing good and everything. They grow so fast, don't they? It's a really rewarding thing, and you know that you saved her little life

Here's a few.
She was slower to react, like for the first time she could see a little. She would walk towards our hands where before she would turn around in circles staying on the towel. Still eating LOTs. Waking up and exploring her box.

Sounds like good signs to me; starting to react to visual ques, trying to explore, eating lots.

As a distant observer who doesn't see her everyday, I see a big change in this latest photo.

Looks like she has nice markings/colors, it would be tough for me not to keep her, all things being equal.

Here's a link to more picts. Sorry they are a bit blurry. I still have the issue with fast moving cat and slow moving camera. I have another 50 that are just gray blurs. I'll have to give up and take video.

I like how you can see her blue eyes in the picture, they look more black in person.

She's adorable and coming along really nicely. When you compare her to the pics of the day you found her - wow, nice transformation. Good job with her!

My goodness, she's growing like a little weed!! You and your wife are doing such a great job with her! She's going to be a little beauty, too. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a bit of cream around her nose/mouth and white eyeliner. Keep up the good work!!

she is beautiful - and truly you and your wife are among the blessed for working so hard to save her life. You two make up for a lot of the bad folks in the world.

A funny thing happened today. She may not be a she. I'll give it another couple days, but I'm pretty sure. I tried to take photos, but again, sHe is pretty wiggly.

My bigger concern is getting her/him to go #2. It's been a couple days now. I'm getting worried. Any tricks to try?

Thanks,
Dan

Well, a bit came out this morning. (1/2" or so)
The color was good, a bit hard compared to toothpaste.
Maybe a bit less water or more, I don't know..

I find that alot or times bottle babies have a hard time, maybe it's the formula of the change...

We have a BOY!

0lbs 7oz
He's a feisty sassy dude.

We're constantly calling him her, she, and Sassy. We'll need to come up with an identity that fits this little fighter. Although, my wife will continue to call him Sassy... I just don't think it fits any more.

I was really certain it was a girl, exclamation point and all, but now there are definite family jewels developing..

He needs a tough name then!!! How about Rocko? Gunny, as in gun metal gray? Mack? Joe (Joe Louis)? Champ? Frankie? Sugar Ray?
Dempsey (Jack)? Sonny (Liston)? I guess I am going with the boxing/ fighting theme here! Gene Tunney? Frazier?

I'll try to think of some more strong male names or appropriate choices... that is ... if you want me to!!

ETA: Hercules!? Samson???

Actually, He looks like the Wolverine character in the new movie. The old comic book version of the character. His name is Logan...

Either that or Tiger. Cause I'm more into golf than boxing. And Tiger is tenacious...

Sorry, Tiger, I know it's not very manly, but I have to ask this question...

I've heard on some other sites that a drop of vegetable oil or mineral oil can help them loosen up their stools. Will canola oil do that as well?

We have poopage!
Sorry, I celebrate the weirdest things sometimes.
Still the stool is very hard, we did give her a drop of canola oil, but it was only minutes before so it hadn't taken effect.

He has 3 stripes developing on each side behind his front legs, may be tiger shark is a better name. My wife is stuck on Sassy. we'll see.

Ah, don't worry about celebrating poopage - any loving cat parent has danced in glee when there is good poop. In fact, I just celebrated my boy's having a nice normal stool (he got into the greenies a bit too much the other day!).

So glad to hear continued good news on your Sassy!

Logan/Wolverine --

yeah and he will have razor sharp claws that can pop out on command!!!
(right now at his age they don't retract.)

Tiger is a nice name, too... eventhough it's for Tiger Woods it is kind of generic for a cat....
