How do you know that? What if she's a lunatic? A cat hoarder? Has Simba locked in a closet? What if Hope hated her and the woman always coveted Simba? You don't know who she is, if she has the cat. Some rescues do home inspections if they have the personnel. At the very least the person goes through some manner of screening.

On a great note, Simba is safe!

I just had a nice long conversation with the woman in Hope's building. She had a long story to tell, which had me in tears. The bottom line is that Simba is with this woman's sister who adores him. He is safe and in a home that loves him. We can't ask for more than that.

I applaud all of the TCS members that helped on this task... This is truly amazing! I am alone in the US, and somehow because of this rescue effort I feel safer about my kitties if something happens to me...
To know that Simba is safe has made my day!

I'm absolutely thrilled that we now know that Simba is safe and loved!
My deepest fear was that he had hidden so well that he had not been found. He was the one Hope worried the most about should something happen to her, and I'm so happy that he's taken care of!

Let's put aside these disagreements and any hurt feelings. So many have worked so hard to make sure that Hope's cats are safe, and that's all any of us wanted. I'm certain it's what Hope wanted. She can now rest peacefully knowing that her babies are safe.

I once again add my thanks to those who helped in the rescue of Shane, Simba, and Angel, and to kittymonsters for finding out for us that Simba is safe as well. I'm so relieved!

I would like to chime in on a postive note, that I'm really pleased that it's been established that Simba is well, happy and has a great new home.

That is excellent news and I thank all those involved in the detective work to discover this.

Great job!

That's the best news we could have. Simba is safe and loved. That's all that Hope would want.

I want to thank Susan, Sarah and everyone else who was involved in helping these babies. You are all amazing and Hope would be happy to know she had such caring friends who did their best to look after her beloved cats.

Please take any disagreements and any hurt feelings to PM and let us concentrate on the good news.

I am thrilled to know Simba is safe and is being loved and taken care of. That's all any of us would want for any of our cats.

Thanks to all involved.

I am thrilled and relieved that Simba is in a home where he is loved and cherished.

Thank you, to all of those who worked to get Sun Lee and Shane to a Siamese rescue group and new homes. Thank you, to all of those who worked so hard to make sure Simba was safe and loved. Angel is safe with Nial and Terri (Thank you!).

We can't change the past. The most important thing was to account for all of Hope's cats and make sure they were safe and in good hands. That has been accomplished with flying colors.

EXACTLY what she said.

Kittymonsters (I don't know your real name,) THANK YOU For taking up the reins and following through on this "hunt for Simba" and for being the bearer of this fantastic news that he is not lost and IS safe and sound and being cared for and will continue to be - that's the most important thing through all of this.

Let's please not let any hurt feelings intentional or unintentional, ruin what this should really now be called - a celebration!

Thank you again to EVERYONE who worked SO hard to make sure that Hope's special babies were all in good situations!!! Phone callers, web checkers, flyer creators, flyer distributors, door knockers, etc., etc., etc.

So, so, so happy to know that Simba is safe and loved -- ALL Hope's babies are safe and loved. What could have been disaster for them has been turned around. Thank you to all who had a hand in that, in whatever way.

I am so glad that everything is sorted and that Simba is safe. Any tensions along the way have only risen because everyone has been so worried and we all get a bit fraught when the safety of our companions, or those we care about, is at stake. All that matters is that everyone was working to the same goal and it has turned out well. Congratulations to all involved.

Wow, is this for real? Simba is actually safe? That really makes me happy. And it still makes me happy that the people at TCS who came in contact with people by phone or in person I'm SURE were completely appropriate and friendly.

Same here. I agonized over Simba and what may have happened to him and of course worried that the worst has happened.

I'm so glad to hear he is safe - that's all any of us wanted and we wanted it for Hope because of how much she loved her cats and would have wanted their welfare put first.

Kudos to all who came together to make the kitties safe and finding out that Simba was safe and loved.
