I feel like the only one here! LoL they make great pets even if you have a fenced in back yard they are so clean and quiet! and will just play around on the grass during the day and come back to their house to sleep at night. THey never run away like a rabbit or parrot would! They are like dogs and have so much personality!

Mine is trained to come when called will let me pet him and will follow me around wag his tail and dance for me ! LOL

THey eat EVERYTHING and anything! Fruits grains chips bread mice snakes frogs fish cat food dog dog food you name they will EAT IT!

THey lay eggs that taste better than chicken eggs!

I would say they are the perfect backyard pet other than dogs and cats of course! CHickens are great but chickens can get loud and i find chickens will offten fly over fences and wander more far away then ducks

Hahaha that duck sure is in charge! I used to have a Pekin duck. He was dumped in a park pond and his buddy [another duck] was killed by something so I took him home. He lived with my chickens and would chase my dog away and protect the flock. He was a good guy but he wouldn't swim because the chickens wouldn't [I made him a swimming area and everything!]. I had to adopt him to a home with other ducks because he wasn't getting wet enough so he would get eye infections. He was cool to have, I would consider having ducks someday.

He's so at ease with the kitties! Mine would probably try to eat him
but I guess you've raised your cats with the ducks, so they know to leave them alone. They're nice looking birds, I was thinking of the all white ones, but he's pretty.
