It started with the paint, but the house is old and now she is getting down to the plaster. I was worried about her ingesting it, at first, but that isn't the case. She just loves that gritty sensation, I suppose. And ofcourse, what is a worse sound than nails on chalkboard?? ARGHHHHHH. She has many scratch posts/trees that she wholeheartedly takes advantage of, but the wall is her favorite when I am away. I find the evidence when I return home. I tried tape, but she scratches and pulls that off as well.

I found this on ebay:

Is anyone else going through this? What have you done, how have you dealt with it?

TIA!!

Can you put a scratching post right in front of the wall where she goes at it (or is she scratching multiple spots?)?

Solution: plexiglass.

Look for stores in your area that specialize on glass and mirrors. These stores also sell sheets of plexiglass. They will custom cut plexiglass for you to the sizes you need to cover specific areas. You can use the usual mirror fasteners for putting up the sheets of plexiglass wherever you need them.

Placing furniture to completely block access to the walls is the only other solution that will work.
