Exactly my point. Priorities. If you have limited funds and children or even pets that you love, booze is definately not a priority. I admit, she suckered me in at first... partially because she's in her early 20's, single with 3 kids and very mature for her age. Alot about her, reminded me of me. So I took to her you know. Bonded, and felt like a big sister. Till her immaturity came shining through, and her priorities. It really ticked me off, mainly because I was doing all I could for her (I'm not rich by any means...but I would give her some cigarettes, my children donated some of their toys for her kids, and I was considerring buying her kids each a couple presents so they had something new for Christmas). As you can tell, it still annoys me. Probally because I haven't said anything to her about it. I just withdrew myself, and shrugged off her "poor me" whining.

how many arms do you have Chris?...
... you write so fast!
I use voice software
It types as fast as I can speak it. *grin*

Ready for another set?..

Bring it on my friend, I'm ready.

1. What's your favorite hobby?...

I'm a computer graphics geek. Aside from that, my snakes are a hobby. I like all sorts of outdoor activities... I like to cross-stich

2. What's one trait you hate about yourself?....

I have several, but I will say my low self esteem. It causes alot of problems.

3. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment:….

1. I'm tired and sore (actually felt good today so I did some housecleaning, and now I'm paying for it. 2. My hubby got me a new Webkinz for V-Day and that made me happy. 3. Mmmmm chocolate

4. What do you read in the bathroom?....

I have a bundle of different magazines in there. If I have a book on the go I'll bring that. Right now, I have the Home Veterinary Handbook beside the toilet LOL

5. Current worry right now?....

My future. Once I have the surgeries on my arms, and all my retraining is done, I will be looking for a job again. The economy stinks... so that is my current worry.

6. Hight heels or low heels are you wearing right now?....

socks right now LOL, but I wear hiking boots for winter and spring. Running shoes and sandals for warm weather. I avoid heels if possible, unless they are chunky ones like platform shoes where the front and back are the same height.

7. Favorite place to be on weekends?....

I'm really a homebody. We tend to do our housework and such on the weekends. Hubby is usually away during the week, so its nice to have his company on the weekends, plus some family time.

8. Where would you like to go?.....

Like on a vacation? I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon... but I'd like to go anywhere really... I haven't been many places.

9. What´s your Favourite pop soda….

Any diet "white" pop. Sprite, Gingerale, 7UP. I do like diet dr. pepper sometimes. I don't like Pepsi, and will only drink Coke Zero if its the only thing on sale.

10. What colour shirt or blouse are you wearing right now?....

It's a white and orangey brown striped sweater. Nice and comfy.

Thanks for your questions.... I really enjoy them

LOL, I thought I was good, not near as bad of payback as I thought

  1. Here is an embarrassing one: I have peed in my pants in the middle of a cassino - fess up: Have you ever peed in your pants?

Honestly, no. Come close to it, but never actually did as an adult. Teenager, yah once or twice in a drunken stupor
  2. Did you suck your thumbs when you were a kid? If so, when did you stop?

I don't think so, but would have to ask my Ma to be sure.
  3. Have you ever wondering what it would be like to be a man?

Heck yah. I'd love to be a man for a day....not only for the ability to pee my name in the snow, but just to see the difference of how a man is treated vs a woman.
  4. Do you do your nails?

Not usually. I used to, then quit after my wedding. I just recently quit biting my nails, and have had longer nails for bout 6mos. I cut the cuticles, but don't wear polish or anything like that.
  5. If you had enough $$$, would you hire a maid?

    Easy answer.....YES
  6. Tell us one fear you have about raising your kids

I don't know whether its a fear or a hope. I often think about whether they will make the wrong choices instead of the right ones...but I think I've talked to them enough, they confide in me. I do fear an adolescent stage, rebellion, and if they start acting as I did when I was 12. (I was institutionalized due to depression, suicidal, anger issues etc) My greatest fear is of their young teens being like mine.
  7. Do you let hubby be the father figure for the girls?

This is such a hard one because I was a single mom up untill 5.5yrs ago, I still have a hard time letting Mark parent the girls. My youngest daughter is his, the older one is not. He's a good man... but I do second guess his parenting, and that's the main cause of our arguements.
  8. Do you believe in God?

No. I believe in a higher power, but not in a God.
  9. Do you talk to your kids about sex and drugs?

With Kendra (12yr old) yes I do. We had the sex talk ummm, a year or 2 ago. Drugs we're just starting to talk about. She's great with coming to me about different things. Right now its more talking about the changes of becoming a woman, she has her first boyfriend... she doesn't ever want to smoke, and hasn't really asked about drugs (except when we're watching a tv show, and they say something like marijuana or cocaine, she didn't know what it was). We are very open. That I learned from my own Mom's mistake of not being open with me.
  10. Would you ever be a doctor?

Hmmmm. The pay is good, it is a very interesting job but I think the hours would be awful and I wouldn't see my family at all. So I would have to say no.

Well, its after midnight, so I will finish up your questions tommorrow

No, I've never seen an autopsy, but I would like to. I find the human body fascinating, and perhaps seeing the lungs of a smoker would help me to quit when I go for surgery.

Ghosts: no. I am one who needs to see to believe. I've never experienced a ghost, and while the stories are interesting, I do not believe in them.

Crazy Person: YOU
Seriously, I don't know how to answer this one. Crazy can mean different things, and then there's certifiable insanity. Crazy as in someone just living crazy would be someone who does things without thinking about the ramifications to doing so.

Have I been crazy? Yes, although I prefer the term mentally unstable. I was institutionalized from 13.5yrs old untill 17 in different institutions and have the paperwork that deemed me certifiable.

Crazy as in done something crazy, no. Crazy as in weird, yes. Lots of tattoo's and lots of snakes earned me the nickname Crazy tattooed Snake Lady

6mos to live: I would make sure I told everyone that I care for, my feelings. Not by phone either, go and pay everyone a visit... family, friends, anyone who has ever impacted my life. I would cherish every moment with my children. I would not go blow a bunch of money though, I wouldn't want my family to have to deal with added debt. Although I would go get my back tattoo finished.

Canada: I'm assuming you meant to write Have I thought about leaving Canada. Yes actually I have.... but not till maybe 20yrs from now. I would seriously consider moving somewhere warm and dry, to avoid the pain issues I have on a daily basis. If I didn't have those issues, then no, I wouldn't want to leave Canada. I love it here.

Obama and Politics: Honestly, I do not pay attention to politics. I can't even say whether I'm happy Obama got in because I don't know anything about Bush or Obama and what they stand for. I do vote, most of the time it is not for the highest running candidates, it is usually for the Green party. I am not Political at all, I pay no mind to it, nor do I discuss it.

Whew, done another set..... tough ones.

Yes, but I do not own any of my own.

Yup, but not those really loud whistles.

3. Favorite color?...

It used to be purple, but not I would have to say a deep rich burgundy.

Sure, why not?

5. What songs do you sing in the shower?...

I do not sing in the shower.

7. Favorite Baseball Team?..

I am really not a sports fan.

8. Favorite boy's name?...

Nathaniel. Growing up I always liked that name.

9. What's in your pocket right now?...

We touched briefly on food in the Desert Island set, now let's get a little more depth...

1. Do you cook? Do you like to, or is it a chore?

2. Do you like to cook with someone else? How well do you share your kitchen?

3. What is your favourite thing to prepare?

4. What is your favourite dish that someone else prepares for you? Who?

5. Either of those favourites might be a comfort food, or not. What is your favourite comfort food?

6. What is your favourite celebration food?

7. When people come to my table, I always ask first whether there are any allergies/sensitivities/likes/dislikes I should keep in mind. If you came to my home, what would your answer be?

8. Do you consider yourself adventurous where unfamiliar food is concerned?

9. What is your favourite meal of the day?

It's actually Japanese for "treasure, precious object"

let see for today my friend...

1. Can you drive a motorcicle?...

No I can't. But I can ride as a passenger LOL

2 Worst injury you've ever had?...

When I was 12 or so, I was pushed off a snowhill (we were playing a game) and in the process I dislocated my left knee, tearing one ligament so bad it could not be repaired. I ended up having surgery at 15 because the ligament I tore helps keep your kneecap in place. My kneecap would regularly dislocate. Not fun at all.

3. Do you love where you live?...

For the most part I do. We always complain about the weather, but I think you get that anywhere.

4. How many TVs do you have in your house?....

4 in total.

5. Who is your loudest friend?...

My neighbour Kelly.... she's so fun.

6. Do you have any pets?(apart of your kitts of course :nod : )…....

Lots of snakes, 1 dog and 1 kitty

7. Does someone have a crush on you?...

I would hope my husband does.

8. Your favorite book(s)?

Too many to list LOL. But I really like "When Rabbit Howls" by Truddi Chase and "Desperation" by Stephen King.

9. Do you collect anything?...

Yup. Webkinz (www.webkinz.com) and fantasy figurines...like unicorns/fairies/pegasus/etc.

10. What song do you want played at your funeral?

I really don't know but the first one that comes to mind is: Another One bites the dust LOL.

Thanks

Food is a great topic. I used to work as a short order cook in a family type restaurant

1. Do you cook? Do you like to, or is it a chore?

Most of the time I thoroughly enjoy cooking. I will be glad once I have my surgery, and can prepare dinners without hurting myself LOL.

2. Do you like to cook with someone else? How well do you share your kitchen?

Ummm. I was ok with it when working. But at home I'd prefer to have my kitchen to myself. Partially because if you get 2 adults in there, you can be stepping on each other. I'll happily share the prep work tho (peeling, cutting, chopping) unless I want it done a very specific way.

3. What is your favourite thing to prepare?

Hmmmm. Tough one. I love pasta, and its fun to try new things with it... new ingreds/seasonings/etc. Soups are another, I like playing with different flavours and seeing what I come up with. Sometimes its been YUCK, other times it turns out really well.

4. What is your favourite dish that someone else prepares for you? Who?

ummmmm. I do 95% of the cooking. When hubby cooks its things that are already prepared...like chicken nuggets and fries, fish sticks, pizza, etc. So there really isn't someone who prepares food for me.

Oh wait, one of my neighbours... whenever she makes potato, collard and Portuguese sausage soup, she sends me over a bowl
I LOVE it. I also LOVE her rice pudding. It's the Portuguese style, thick, you eat with a fork. YUM. She sends over lots of stuff for me to try, but those are my absolute favorites.

5. Either of those favourites might be a comfort food, or not. What is your favourite comfort food?

Pasta with a creamy sauce. Can you tell I love pasta? I like thick sauces, not watery. It HAS to have mushrooms.... spinach is good too.

6. What is your favourite celebration food?

oh oh oh. My FIL makes a killer Christmas Pudding...mm mmm mm. I look forward to that every year. I think its more the sauce than the pudding though LOL.

7. When people come to my table, I always ask first whether there are any allergies/sensitivities/likes/dislikes I should keep in mind. If you came to my home, what would your answer be?

No allergies, thankfully. I'm pretty open to trying most things but I do not eat alot of meat (no steak, no roasts, no porkchops) and I'm don't like the "non-traditional" veggies. (like eggplant, ocra, brussel sprouts, zucchini by itself, turnips, etc.) Traditional would be like carrots, beans, peas, spinach, salad, corn, etc. But I will try anything once. My neighbour eats different foods than I do, and he let me try his eggplant. Not for me LOL.

8. Do you consider yourself adventurous where unfamiliar food is concerned?

Fairly..... I will try almost anything once. But I draw the line at organ meats, frog legs, veal. Those are the things that I can think of that I refuse to try. I don't eat alot of meat other than ground beef, chicken, and fish...but I will try it. (I tried a friends pork loin cutlett...didn't like it).

Short answer, yes, I will try most.

When cooking though, would I consider myself an adventerous cook, not really. Because I don't know alot about spices, so I'm reserved in that department. I would love to take a course in cooking, just so I could learn more variations of things I do make.

9. What is your favourite meal of the day?

umm, prolly supper. I don't eat breakie as often as I should. Supper is usually a nice meal, relaxed, and comfortable. Lunch can be rushed. I like to savor my food. So yes, Supper would be my favorite.
Great questions....gave me some ideas to check out too.
Thanks for posting them

Now I have a question....

My spotlight is almost up, so I have to start thinking who to chose next.

Do I have to pick someone who has never done it or can it be someone who hasn't done it in a long time? Is there a post of volunteers? How do I pick someone?

Thanks.

Oh, and..... Bring on the questions....I have a couple more days left, and this has been great. Some of the questions have really made me discover some things about myself, things I'd like to do, etc. I'm having alot of fun with this

See ya soon I hope

Thanks for your answers, too. I've enjoyed reading them.
As to the next victim? I think the intention has been to have someone who has not been in the spotlight before, and there was a thread not too long ago where people did volunteer. I'm guessing others might be open to the invitation, as well. In any event, you should check with your intended successor, to make sure they are willing, and available at this time, before starting their thread.

More questions.... Thanks

1. Have you ever eaten at Curry in a Hurry?

No I haven't. Actually I've never heard of it.

2. IYO- Best farmers market in Southern Ontario?

We've gone to Trails End in London quite a few times. It's pretty good.

3. What is your biggest pet peeve?

I have alot, but the main one that gets me is people who want sympathy and help because they have limited funds to care for their families, but then they are out partying all the time. Really annoys me, mainly because I was a single mom on welfare, and I lived with nothing for myself to support my kids.

4. Is there anyone you really dislike, but have no reason for disliking them so?

There's been some people I've met, online or in person. That I just don't like.... personality conflicts or just a vibe.

5. What political issue gets you the most riled up?

None, I don't talk politics.

6. If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear it, how many pancakes will fit in a birdcage?

42. The answer is always 42 LOL

7. What is your most unusual habit (note: things involving snakes and rodents do not count as unusual for you)

Unusual eh....ummmmmm. Me and my daughter moon each other on a regular basis... dunno if that's unusual or not. I throw tattoo parties usually once a year..... I'm pretty boring to tell you the truth.

8. Did you ever pretend to be someone online that you are not (for example, to see what a different online friend would say about you)

Not unless I'm in a roleplaying chatroom. Although I do come across more confident online than I am in person.

9. I like to cook too. What is the worst thing you have dropped into something you are preparing then pulled out and told no one of its accidental presence?

ummmm. Nothing I can think of, although there's usually cat, dog or my hair in most foods no matter what I do LOL.

10. When you are driving on the 401, how fast do you drive? if in the city do you use the express lanes?

Cruise set at 118km, otherwise I tend to do 150 or so. In the city, yes, I'm in the fast lanes.

11. What is the angriest you have ever made a neighbour and what did you do to incite their wrath?

My neighbours and I get alone quite well, so I've never had that situation. Hopefully I never do.

12. Do you shake your fist at Undergrads? (London is a *big* University area for those who dont know)

Not usually. I don't mind students at all, except when I'm driving and they don't pay attention to lights, and think drivers have to slow down for them when they are crossing 4 lanes of traffic not at a light.

13. Have you ever broken something, and then pretended you didnt know how it was broke? If yes, what was it, and who took the blame?

Knowing me, I probally have. But I can't remember any details cuz it hasn't happened recently.

ETA!!! 14. Though I hate mushrooms, when I am home in April, can I get some of that stuffed manicotti you mentioned earlier? mmmmmm
Sure thing
It's yummy..... and I love making them, and lasagna.

Thanks for the questions.

Cmon folks only a couple days left before the next victim is unveiled... Till then, BRING IT ON

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better

1.- How many cats have you ever had in your enterely life?

Lots. Growing up we lived in the country and had lots of "barn cats". I was a child at the time, so I don't remember their names. I had my first indoor cat when I was 17, his name was Gysmo. I also fostered a mama kitty for a while, her name was Lucky. Now I have my Kismet, aka Kizzy.

2.- could you tell us the name of the list above?

oops, answered this one with #1

3.- Do you have any preference about of Breeds of cats?

Kizzy is my first "breed" cat, he is a Ragdoll. The others I've had were "mutts". Gysmo was a grey and white long haired barn kitty. I like Ragdolls, Maine Coons and mutts. I don't really like hairless cats or dogs.

4.- Do you dream with cats when you sleeps?

According to my hubby I do more than dream of kitties. I pet Kizzy while I'm sleeping LOL.

5.- Have you ever to give catnip at your kittys to play?

Yep. Kizzy doesn't react to it much. My first cat loved it, Gysmo would completely spaz out on it then pass out LOL.

6.- Wich brand do you prefer to give at your kitty in Wet and Dry food to eat?

Kizzy eats Taste of the Wild dry food, with some Chicken Soup for the cat mixed in. He doesn't really like wet food, but he loves any gravy from them. I'm going to keep working on that one though.

7.- Would you like to work like a volunteer on a Cat shelter?

another stuffs...

I would love to.

8.- Wich one is your favourite colour to wear?

Probally black and burgundy.

9.- Do you have some earrings with shape of cat?

no I don't.

10.- do you have some blouse with stamps of cats?

nope.

11.- do you collect or you have handcraft of kittys?

I have a couple kitty figurines.

12.- how many purses do you have?

I only have 1 purse. But I have several backpacks.

.....I hope not boring you with my questions my friend...
