We always get scared when he has a ct scan.
He has been having low wbc.
The dr had him get a ct scan to see if the Leukemia was coming back.
He has been in remission for 3 years.
They said there are no signs of tumors or the leukemia coming back
.

They check for tumors because the chemo can cause them.
He does have gall stones though.
He will see the dr Jan 21.

Thanks Everyone,
He still has to see the Dr every 3-4 months and get blood tests.
We are so glad he is still in remission.

That is fantastic that the scan came back clear. And, although gallstones aren't that pleasent to have it certainly is better then what it could have been.

Sending along some feel better vibes.

Awesome news for both of you!!!

As for gallstones
I had my gallbladder removed in 2006 at age 23 due to those stupid little gallstones. Hope all goes well.

Some people don't feel them - they're lucky for that. You should be checked, though.

It's not too terrible of a surgery to recover from. Depending on pain tolerance he may be up and about that very same day - while he will need to move, that can make you sore later. They will send him home with pain meds, I was unlucky and couldn't take them so just had to deal with what moderate pain there was. It's certainly less than any of the GI pain is.
If he already has anti-nausea meds for the chemo - those work for any nausea after.

Also, any abdominal surgery tends to have the common side effect of diarrhea. Getting the gallbladder removed can also cause bile salts diarrhea. So don't be surprised if this happens, but do talk to the doctor as there is a med to help. Though they say you can go back to a regular diet within a couple of days, it's a good idea to eat low to no fat for a few weeks as fat can trigger pain and diarrhea.

Good news about the rest, through. At least the gallbladder issue is a reasonably easy fix.

They may not if he doesn't have many and there's no signs of it affecting the liver or pancreas. You may want to consider a low fat diet to help, though.
