Does anyone know...?

hi everyone!
i was wondering if anyone knows of any reputable web sites (Eg. PETA, RSPCA, or vertinarins etc...) that explain why cats should be kept inside?

i have a friend who thinks cats should be set free out to wander, and should never be locked inside!i found a few sites from shelters but when i showed them to her she said she won't read it unless it was from a reputable author! see, she has a family cat that has always been an outdoors cat and she recons that her cats has never had any problems (i guess shes forgotten that its had 3 litters of kittens and looks so mangy from all the cat fights its been in!)

i was going to move in with her before but decided against it since she wasn't going to let me have the cats inside , but she offered to let me keep them in the shed..(i think not!)

so please if anyone knows of any reputable site can you let me know, i need to prove to her that cats should be kept inside!!

Any cat breeder worth their salt will require that the owner of the kitten keep it indoors. Cars, dogs, fighting, illness and crazy people are more than enough reason for any person to want to keep their pet indoors!

Besides the fact that a cat can pick up more illnesses and diseases from being outside. Indoor cats live longer and tend to live a little less stress free compared to their outdoor only counterparts.

yes, i know and thats why i'm determined to keep them inside! if i moved in with her i know she will make me keep them outside!
the annoying thing is , she thinks i'm making it up (the keeping the cats indoors) she thinks i just want to keep them indoors cuz i'm paranoid! geesh!!
