We have a foot of snow here, some drifts 2-4 feet in spots. It's now freezing rain turning to more snow tonight and then freezing rain tomorrow. This is OREGON! We just don't get weather like this. I have become a tire chain master. I can put them and take them off with ease now! I'd prefer to say I don't know how to put chains on, but out of necessity that has changed. The mail must go out!

I wish it would snow here. We haven't had snow that actually stuck since Jan 1999. I would love to experience a white Christmas at least once.

Wed night, early Thursday morning it rained and then promptly froze. The locks on my car was frozen and it took 10 minutes to get the door open. Then I had to put water on my windshield to melt the half inch of frost.

Ugh....we've got it here too
(Iowa) I'm getting tired of it all ready!!! Yesterday I went to take my last final at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City and the plows hadn't even gone through! My car, a Jetta, was bottoming-out in downtown Iowa City!!!! That can't be good for a car

There is a drift at the end of my driveway waist deep. I'm 5'8".
I lost a snow boot in it & had to dig it out in one socked foot.

It snowed here today too starting at noon. Ugh just want we didn't need. We just shoveled out the snow from yesterday, now we have snow and wind, and drifting snow. Doesn't look like we shoveled anything. It's fantastic.(NOT!) I've about had it with snow for the year!!!!

I had my fill of snow back in the late 1970s. I don't know how many feet of snow I had to hand shovel so Mom and Dad could get to work and me to school.

What happened to all those peeps who were just begging for winter just a few short months ago?

We actually had a little snow last week, which is unusual for this part of Texas. It all melted by the next day, and a few days later, we had the a/c on again.
Then it got cold again - now it's warm. But the cold blast is supposed to start affecting us again tomorrow. What a crazy winter so far!

Y'all have my sympathies.
I haven't had to deal with all that horrid mess for 7 years now, but I still haven't forgotten any of it!

LOL! I don't shovel, I grump and grouch for hubby to do that. I can't. My wrist would just snap if I tried. (And believe me I've tried and paid dearly within the next hour or two, my wrist just hurts and it's horrible)He doesn't do it worth a poop though. He's blaming it on the ice under it, well if you'd have gotten out there sooner, this wouldn't be half the problem it is now... right??? MEN! UGH!!!!!

What was it, the winter of 1977-78 that we were snowed in for like 2 weeks,
with NO school!
It was like an extended Christmas break.
What a year!

I HATE SNOW! This has been going on for a week. I spent most my morning shoveling a pee path for my dog after I saw him pee on the deck. You can't tell where you were!

Here are my pics.

My backyard.

My street:

My poor car:

Then there is Forest who is unphased by this weather. He is mad because it is so cold he doesn't want to be outside. You can really see in this picture how mad he is.

Five minutes later he gets even worse:

Poor kitty don't you feel sorry for Forest?

I am mad that my neighbor still has their cat outside. I have put a cat carrier outside with blankets in case a stray kitty needs warmth.

Oh i hate you all, stop torturing me!!
It's going to be 34 today (93.2f) that's the hottest day we've had since Summer started 3 weeks ago. This time last year though we would've already hit the hot weather in Spring but didn't for some reason.

Give me snow!!

Here... or There... Hmmm
We got hit hard here Friday and then again tonight.... We were down to cement on the sidewalk... but not when we finally got outside. Blizzard warnings kept us indoors... Here I am standing behind the snowblower... 2 feet of snow on my side and about 1 foot behind where it blowed from.

It sucked!

Honestly, I don't know what the big deal is about the snow, at least for me - I live in Canada, it's winter, I expect snow and cold temperatures. Friday we had a big snowstorm and it took me about 20 minutes longer to get home - no big deal. Mind you there wasn't much traffic on the roads so that helped.

I can deal with wearing extra clothing for cold weather but I cannot deal with hot, humid heat so give me snow.
And, it's beautiful to look out across the snow-covered fields and trees.

Yeah, except that the windchill here was something like -20F. Brrrrrrrrr!!!

We did venture out last night for Thai food and a latte afterward. Good to get out of the house! The thermometer on the car said 2F... but didn't take the wind chill into consideration. Wind was kicking up to 30-35 mph.
