In another post I mentioned that my family adopted a new cat. She has long hair. I've never had a long hair cat before. Are there any tips or advice you can give me. Any special things I should be doing to prevent hairballs.
Thie main thing would be to brush and combe the cat regularly - that means less fur is ingested and less furballs a produced.
The other suggestion would be to buy furball formula food. I had huge furball problems (I have 2 persians one of which I SERIOUSLY fluffy), until I put them on Royal Canin Persian 30 dry food.
Now they turn their noses up at fresh prawns and fresh chicken in preference to their biscuits!!!
