So much for being able to keep my cats separate! The foster group just gave us our newest foster- a black and white 6 or so month old boy named Sammy!

The problem is, we were told he is fine being put with our current foster, Cronos. We were told they are both kittens so we don't need to worry about introductions... We were told wrong.

Since we only have one foster room, my question for you guys is, will keeping them in the same room, but one in the cage and one out foster ill feelings towards each other, and make it worse? I know that is pretty typical with dogs, are cats the same?

We definitely can't leave them together at this point. Sam is very stressed and liable to hurt either Cronos or himself. Cronos, typical maine-coon, is totally cool with it all.

The only other option is to keep one in the bathroom. But, I am so allergic, that will not last more than two nights. If keeping them in the same room will cause them stress, I will have to pass Sam on to another foster. Do you all think this will be better for him?

What do you all think? Leave them in the same room, but one in a cage and one out? Leave one in the bathroom and hope they get along in two nights or less? Or just pass Sam on to the next foster home?

Any insight or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Wow, 23 views and no one knows? I'm good at asking questions with no answer!

Well, after one night in our bathroom, I can't do that anymore. So, either way, Sam and Cronos are going in the same room together. So tomorrow, I will tell you if it makes things better or worse! Wish us luck!
