For me, the cell phone is freedom: I can go anywhere, anytime, and know that my loved ones can still reach me.

I don't actually talk on my cell phone all that much, so I would have thought it wouldn't be a big deal to lose it. I did lose it, though, last November returning from a business trip and it was hell. The thing is, I've got everyone's contact information stored there. I still don't have it all back.

nope - only have 4 'official' places for the phone - my left front pocket, on the holder next to my recliner, on the bookcase in the bedroom [usually it's being charged if it's there] & just above my head on the headboard [it's also my alarm clock].
don't usually lose the keys, either - they only have a couple of 'official' places, as well.

yes yes I always have to call my phone with another phone to find it. The other day I lost my phone and I found it in the washing Machine. Crazy. Luckily I had put insurance on it and I forgot to cancel it which I would have done if I remembered. So I got a new one for just $50.

What a great idea! I do that with my keys, which hang on the doorknob as soon as I come in... but of course the cell phone should have its official spot, too. Thanks!

I love my cell phone, but I loose it all the time. I have broken or lost about 7 phones. One I ran over with my car (oops) I think it fell out of the door when I was getting in and I backed over it. If I am not talking on my cell phone then it is most likely lost. I am also really good at loosing the charger to my phone

Don't lose my cell phone or keys. Now remembering to charge it, that whole other story.

Now everyone expects me to have a Blackberry and be in constant touch in my email. I don't want to be that available but I may have to do it anyway for work.

I don't lose my phone or my keys. My cell is my only phone and I like it because it is cheaper for me. On the other hand, I don't feel like I have to have it on or with me all the time either.

My phone, my keys.....my mind! I seriously lose just about anything that I can get my hands on, lol! I have started putting my keys in my purse when I come home....but the phone might be in the bed, under the bed (its my alarm clock too), in the car, in my purse, at the bakery....you name it!

I loose my cell on average about 2x a week....It's always eithor in the my purse, some random room in the house or in a special compartment of our suv
It's so tiny that sometimes I loose it in the bottomless pit that is my purse

I never loose my car keys. I always keep them in the same spot. (It's hard to do that with a cell though since mine doubles as our house phone and i'm constantly doing things around the hosue or running errands.)

We have a third cell phone that I lost sometime in December.
I have no idea where it is. The battery on the stupid thing barely lasts a day, so calling it wasn't an option by the time I realized it was missing. I cleaned for company, and that was the last time I saw it. We're moving soon and hope to find it then.

LOL. Experts will tell you that losing things is an indication that you don't value the things you are losing. You need to train yourself to pay attention where you put everything down - say it out loud (I put the phone on the coffee table) to help your brain recognize it as important.

My daughter has a bad habit of setting stuff down and forgetting where she set it. For her apt, we bought a magnatized strip to hang next to the front door. She hangs her keys on it. The Container Store has them in several colors.

For years, my husband would forget to turn his cellphone on. I have an amazing vocabulary when I am mad that he can't be reached.
Now he complains that no one ever calls him - well, duh! We were all so frustrated that he never had his phone on that we just stopped calling him.

I dont hate my phone (especially now that I got a new one with the qwerty keyboard
) but I tend to lose them all the time
I always find it though, usually by calling it from Rob's phone and listening for the ring.

He's broken and lost about 7 phones in the last year or two. One was my fault - I left it on the roof of the car, and it stayed up there til we hit ~80mph on the interstate. Then I heard something smack the trunk and then I realize the phone isn't in the car
Cingular told him they were going to stop insuring him because all his phones would break. (His new phone he has with Verizon is tough though).
