11-week-old kitten, help with feeding

Hi, I posted on the behavior forum about my new kitten who was shy and skittish for the first few days. He hid under the bed and didn't eat very much. Well, now that he is out and about (still very shy, though), he still isn't eating as much as I think he should be. He was eating Kitten Chow at the shelter, so I've tried that, as well as Wellness Kitten dry and Wet. I've also tried Nature's Variety Instinct wet, but he is only nibbling at the food at night. He smells it and just walks away from it.

This morning, I gave him some KMR and he lapped it up for several minutes. He's playing with my other cat, and is generally very active. Drinks water, uses the litterbox, etc.

I'm sure he's still just adjusting but any suggestions on how I can get him to eat more solid foods? If he doesn't eat enough tonight, I am taking him to see the vet tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

Try some canned kitten food rather then the dry. At his age he really doesn't need the KMR any more.

All of the cats I brought home from shelters took some time to adjust. I also would stick to wet food. The kitten may also be eating a little when you aren't around.
