I am in taiwan, and I will translate this the best way I can.
My cat has been peeing on my bed, so I took a urine sample to the vet.
The vet said:
-Traces of crystals in the urine, if not treated it will create a blockage
-Urine is very concentrated, believe my cat is not drinking enough water
-Traces of infection, should medicate before becoming UTI
The vet has given me medication for the infection and crystallization. And recommends I get my cat to drink more. My cat enjoys tap water, which is not consumable by humans. My vet suggests that if that's the water he'll drink, I should let him drink it, also mentioning that it is not that bad. I have several water bowls in my house as well as one with running water. But he only wants to drink tap water.
My question is:
-Is my cat not drinking because it hurts to pee? Or is he not drinking water simply because he doesn't like the source?
-Traces of infection and crystallization? I thought it was yes or no?
-Vet suggested I change cat food, something better for his urinary tract. Is this neccessary?
My kitty needs help!! I just want to run over my vets opinions with everybody here. Thank you all so much in advance.
