You guys are amazing. Thank you.

Well, we went and the vet spent quite a while listening to her chest and feeling her tummy and she said that her breathing is back to normal and her chest sounds clear today She said as it sounded clear she didn`t want to put her through an x-ray ( she explained yesterday that if she was sedated she might not wake up again ).

So I have to keep a close eye on her for a few days. She threw up on the way home ( not a good traveller! ) and she is still not herself. She`s crouching a lot and hasn`t eaten since this morning (which she threw up ) but she doesn`t look so depressed.

Her weight has gone down a bit too so I`m off to get her some chicken and hope she keeps improving. I wasn`t expecting her to be with me so long so every day is a bonus. I think she`s always going to have problems, bless her

And all those vibes and prayers really work!

She ate some chicken and went and hid for a bit but came out again later. I swear she`s going to give ME heart failure and no wonder I have no savings left but she`s worth it

Two non cat people said to me yesterday I should think about having her PTS! She`s not ready yet, thank God They called me a mug for paying the vets bills for her Some people just don`t get it.

I'm glad she's doing better.
The highest compliment I ever received was a comment from my m-i-l that she wants to come back as one of my dogs or cats.

And they never will get it. Apparently they never felt the love of a cat. The way they rub their head on yours, listening to them purr. Or the way they can make you laugh when you need it the most. Well thats their loss for not knowing that kind of love. They are living creatures that deserve to be treated when they are not well. And no, she's not ready to be PTS. She could have many years left, where there's life theres always hope.
They are worth going into doubt for, I've done it myself and I'll do it again. Maisie is very lucky to have you.

Do not listen to people that say that. When my Cats died my Ex Mgr said stop crying and grow up. I was at work when a few of them died. I hope your Cat keeps getting better.

It's good to hear that Maisia is doing better! for her getting completely back to normal!

(And I echo the above sentiments about the people who said she should be put to sleep. Just not worth listening to.)

just seen this thread about precious maisie. i had posted in fur pics on the maisie thread there but didn't realise how scary it had all got. how is she today?

I am late too. I never seem to be able to cover the sections on this board fast enough. I am sorry about that.
I hope it is a passing thing and she recovers. It is so hard when they are sick.
My MIL made a comment similar. If the cat cost more then 200 dollars then put it to sleep.
I found that to be callous and insensitive. But she is the lonely bitter mean battle ax who will never know the love of a kitty.

I really don`t know where this little girl gets her strength She is doing really well! I was a bit worried that when the meds wore off she would go down hill again but she enjoying being very spoilt Even Kitty has been in to check up on her. Her appetite is back to normal too

She`s been getting extra cuddles in the evening so I`ve not been on the computer much but we really appreciate all the well wishes and it`s nice to know people here understand about, you know, letting her have a pampered end to her years ( not that she`s going anywhere! I pray. )
