We're probably canceling ours in a couple months. The "intro" price is going to jump $50-$100 to the "regular" price, and I am not paying $150-$200/month for tv. Nope.

Then how will you watch TV after 2009??? You will need a converter box, because they are only going to send TV signals through Satellite, No more Antena.
And I know why now too, the govenment is going to add a new tax to my Satellite company "Dish".

I've got somewhere around 60 timers active. Too lazy to print them.

but I'll say this, DVR has completely changed my tv watching habits. I NEVER watch live tv anymore. If there's a show playing i really want to watch, like a stock car race, I'll let it get about 30% into the show then start watching

Of course all this is so you can fast forward through commercials.

Normally, on tv I don't get anxious to watch the shows, I'll record the day's shows, then about 2 am sit down and watch them.

it's unbelievable how much it changed me. HD, and dual tuner dvr is great. along with a 52 inch LCD.

I haven't recorded all that much since we have only had cable and the DVR for 2 weeks! I have recorded just a few programs on the food channel. I love being able to pause live TV, although I forget. I also love the pay-per-view. I just watched 10,000 BC and loved it!

LOL I haven't had cable for about 10 years. We just watched the regular channels and they didn't come in good. We got a really good deal. $46 per month for a year for digital expanded basic in the livingroom and basic in the bedroom. Love those food programs!

I DVRed that (plus his last "real" race) and as part of dad's father's day gift, I transfered them to VHS (no DVD recorder

Oh you must be a Dale Jarrett fan! I was sad that he retired. He was one of my favorite drivers.

Yes yes! We are a DJ family! And not that my dad would admit it lol, but all 3 of us were crying a little when he raced the truck during the all star race.... we're now kinda rooting for Carl Edwards as our driver but haven't like completely jumped on his wagon

The DVR was definitely great for capturing that and it wasn't until close to Father's Day that I even thought to transfer the races to VHS as part of dad's present

I am a Kevin Harvick and Casey Mears fan myself since they are from my neck of the woods. Have to root for the hometown boys!

There are more that I DVR but with it being summer, I can't remember, when the new season starts I'm sure I will be wearing the DVR out. Funny thing is I didn't even want the DVR option, but DH insisted. He never fails to remind me that "We didn't need this stupid thing"

Oh no, it's never been shown here yet, but i'd imagine it will be because Orange County was so popular.
