How shocked would you be to hear that most of the men I know who have been married for a long time are cat lovers?

LOL! My Dad is a Cat lover & had been Married 3 times...

However the last Marriage has been for 28 years. Soooo, I guess that IS a long time... it just takes the cat loving men awhile to find that purrrfect woman.

Oh & My Husband is a Cat Lover... good thing I'm the purrfect one for him...

not at all shocked... you've read the Heinlein quote, right? Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
-- Robert A. Heinlein
[actually found this attributed to several people... but i read it in one of Heinlein's books]

Female here. Rob reads sometimes, but never posts. I actually made this user name figuring we'd both post - but this here is my home and I'm the only one who's here all the time
He'll check in on a thread on occasion.

Lady here!

This thread made me think of the Engineer's Guide to Cats video and how he says something about once you're a male with 3 cats you automatically get deemed "the cat guy" hahaha

I've turned my dad around on the cat issue since moving back home after college. He's a big dog person but now he (somewhat secretly) loves Oliver... example: last year or so, his one buddy came over to return a dvd he had borrowed from us and my dad wasn't home - my dad hangs out with this guy a lot on the weekends, they go watch dirt track racing - so this guy says to me and my mom "he may not admit it, but Rich loves that cat. He talks about him all the time" hahahaha
I think a lot of why my dad likes Ollie is cuz he's very dog-like and my dad likes to "roughhouse" with him - they play the "claw game" Ollie sits on the floor and my dad uses his hand like a claw over Ollie's head and Ollie jumps up to grab and bite his hand... oh and he likes to get Oliver to bunnykick haha

Saw a male "torbie" come through the shelter here. Very intact quite obviously a male.
They are most often females, also.
