On Friday, I went to Slidell, LA, then to Metairie. Due to a mixup, I was behind schedule (a driver delivered a trailer to the wrong store, and I had to straighten it out). I only got up I-10 to about mile marker 182, which is about 10 miles southeats of Baton Rouge.
I got parked and went over to the Waffle House for supper. I came around the corner, and there was a skinny blue cat looking at me. He slunk out of site, but I saw another tortie in the parking lot.
After I ate, I went back to the truck stop, but I went behind the McDonalds...and there were at least 4 adults and 5 kittens back there. All extremely skinny. I checked the truck stop's store, but they didn't have any cat food, so I went in McDonalds and bought a 6-piece Chicken McNuggets. I cut them all up and put them out for the cats, and they thoroughly enjoyed them.
One of the adults is a very pretty, long-haired patched tiger. I could not figure out which was the mother cat, and the kittens appeared to be 8-10 weeks old.
