How are they managing her pain levels? I was on good IV painkillers initially after my heart surgery, then I took oral painkillers every 6 hours of whatever it was as I improved - the only time I was in pain was when I tried to lay flat for an MRI, and I just felt discomfort when I went from lying to a sitting position. I know I'm younger and tolerate it better, but she should still nt be in pain I would have thought.

Maybe next time you're in, ask what pain medication she's being given and how often. And maybe take the nurses some cookies

I'm just now seeing this. I'm so glad that the surgery went well. Prayers are being sent up for a quick recovery.

We found out that because of her high anxiety the pain meds weren't working as well as they should have been. But they didn't want to give her too much meds because they needed her responsive

Good news though!

As of yesterday, she's up and walking around
She's also eating solid foods and not cussing out nurses

She called me about an hour ago to let me know she's doing fine and she wants me to come help her do her hair and nails

Thanks for all the prayers and vibes!!!!!

Well... almost

She called me a little while ago and said they discharged her!

My dad went and picked her up about 30 mins ago and they're on thier way home right now!

I'm amazed at how well she's doing. 1 week and 2 days after open heart surgery and she's already going home!

She is getting an in home nurse to help for the next couple of weeks and the Dr said withen less then a month she can return to work

Thanks for all the vibes!!!!!!
