What sex Are These Kittens?

Forgive me for being an ignoramus. I'm guessing male, but as I look at both pics, I'm wondering if it's pics of the same kitten!
I took so many pictures tonight, I'm lost! Can someone help me out so that I can name these silly critters? Thanks!

Thanks, everyone! They are both vocal little characters & I managed to get these pics during our attempt at a kittens first photo shoot!

They are both males - if it was female the space between the anus and vagina would be closer. You have more room between the anus and penis - where the balls will grow

The second pic kitty looks like he is protesting that his "privacy" has been invaded.

The first is surely a male...the second I believe in a male as well. In females the genitalia will be a small flat opening directly under the anus. Males are located lower down.
