My aunts psycho old siamese has one ear clear and healty...the other is black inside. If i scratch near it or rub it, she reaches leg up and scratches frantically at it....she is so fat and old she can't even bath anything but her paws so my aunt says it's just dirt...but im worried for the poor old thing even if all she ever does is bite and scratch....anyway...what do you guys think?

My aunt won't take her untill I can PROVE it is earmites or something (she's broke)...I even tried to clean the ears just enough to show aunt the inside of ear(since she won't look) and I left it on top of her mail since i knew she'd have to look at it, but she still says it's just dirt and the cat will get over it. I don't agree...she used to act like she was itchy when i touched it, now she hisses and runs...I know it probably isn't a ear infection, she has perfect balance (well for a fat cat) it is same as usual.

yeah shes right... you can talk to vet and buy some medicine so you can clean yourself. I did.. IFFF kitty's ear has thick black etc.. then see vet or do it yourself.

We did clean our cats when they were ferels. Now their ears are clear and pinky!!

Please take care of it asap or kitty will become deaf..

I want to take her, but can't drive and don't have money...It is my aunt's cat and she needs to take responsibility.I tell her maybe the cat bites her so much because she's in pain, but my aunt says I'm "full of $#!^" I'm working on her though....but I need to be able to have good evidence for my "case"...

I am SO pissed at my aunt right now...she never would relent and all of our arguing finally drove my grandma nuts and so she went and picked up some meds at the doc today so I'd shut up. It's worth being insulted though...the cat needed the meds. We doctored her tonight...and must 2 times daily for a week...this is the most evil siamese in the world already...*laughs* now she's been reincarnated as satan...I just hope she get better and doesnt get too mad at me over this. Thanks for all your advice guys...without it, I'd not been able to "bug" either of them into helping her. Oh and I learnt some things on the websites you posted "vikki" thanks
I'll let you guys know how she's doing in about 8 days.
