Diphenoxylate Side Effects :(

This medicine was prescribed to control Nova's diarrhea.
I left on Saturday, and left my SO to start her on her pills.
I came back Sunday night and gave her a 3rd pill.

But I've noticed that she's acting funny.
She rolls around and rubs her head on things quite hard, is not sleeping, and is quite skittish.
She has a very short attention span, any sound or movement will get her running toward it or away.
She sometimes turns and is startled by inanimate objects.
It's kind of like she's high...

I stayed up all night.
The emergency vet people said I should contact my vet in the morning.
I left a message and am waiting to hear back from them.

I'm very worried.
It's been 12 hours since I gave her the 3rd pill.
My SO probably didn't notice if the 1st and 2nd pills had this effect...

I hope these things are not a sign of something else, and I hope they go away.
I feel so bad!

Thank you. I have stopped giving her this medication, and I hope that she can get back to normal soon.

I feel bad that I gave Nova something that caused her to have a bad reaction. This is a case of the remedy being worse than the illness!
