My five year old cat is thin, she had pancreatitis a few months ago and her weight has dropped . She has never been on the fat or heavey side and always hanging on the line of standard weight or just a bit below. our vet didnt reconmend any foods, but she is not allowed any FISH OR SEAFOOD because of the high hystamine levels, the vet also said not to stuff her because it puts too much work on her digestive system. she is currently eating Hills Nature's best but i hear that Hills isnt good even if it costs more, so i am thinking of changing to Pro Plan. I also feed her steemed chicken everyday, but i am also afraid she will become a very picky eater. She likes to have all her food actually put in her mouth be me, she has a flat face so i understand that it is difficult for her to pick up bits of food and after a while she got used to it and refuses to eat without being handfed (even yummy food)
is there any way to make her plump in a healthy way without feeding her fatty foods that are bad for her pancreas?
has anyone of you ever had problems with cat weight?
Thankyou
