Smudge and her food, Advice needed!

Ok, so when we first got Smudge, she used to eat ALL her dry food we put down. Just recently, she has hardly touched the dry stuff, but she seems really hungry. When we are eating ham, she will sit by us until we give her some. Yesterday, Alex gave her another pouch (She has one in the morning at about 7, then one at night around 5) at around 10 as she was purring like mad.

Would it be ok to give her 3 pouches a day? And keep a tiny bit of dry food down? Or is Smudge just being greedy?

Hennessy always begs for food. Even when he's not hungry...

Maybe she's learned she can get better stuff instead?

What do the feeding guidelines on the pouches recommend for your cat's weight and activity level?
