Special thanks to all those who have been leading this World Day of Demonstration. Their tireless volunteerism is not just a great benefit for the cats and dogs of Korea, but an inspiration to be encountered.

Thanks for the attention you all offer the miserable dogs and cats of Korea. Lets represent their agonized voice this upcoming Wednesday, March 12, 2003. They need our help!

Best to everyone,

Anne, thanks for posting this information.

I do want to say that not all Koreans believe it is okay to treat animals as poorly as some in Korea treat cats and dogs. Many Koreans are horrified by the behavior of a few countrymen. One of the saddest parts of the whole thing is that despite the fact that only a handful of people engage in such cruelty and despite the fact that there are no cultural traditions that underlie this cruelty, the government refuses to stop the barbaric behavior.

So, please do not be mad at all Koreans! Be mad at the government and at those ignorant and cruel people who allow, encourage, and take part in this behavior.

Agreed- we recently got a listing at Meowhoo for a cat shelter in Korea that helps these animals, so not all Koreans share this attitude. Thanks Anne for posting this..
