How about trying some of that Cat Attract litter? I've heard people rave about it! And some even just mix half and half with their regular litter. I put those plastic boot trays you used to see by everyones door, in front of my litter boxes. I've also been known to put cheap vinyl table cloths under the boxes when I've had kitties with overhang issues!

I use cat attract litter with Swheat litter.
My cat has had UTI issues and I was afraid she would potty
in other places, like my couch which she had a couple
accidents on when was feeling really bad. I usually just put some
attract litter on top. If you have a Pet Supply Plus nearby it is
on sale here this month till May something. I was never able to find
the additive locally so I just buy the small bag of cat attract litter
& mix on top.

where you want her to potty.

OK. Will she use a covered box? Because I just remembered seeing this box:

The steps walk up into a kidney-shaped area which is where the litter goes. But the trick with this one is that if she pees over the edge of the litter area, the pee would collect on the steps and just need paper towels to soak it up. ????????????

The people who had her for 2 weeks said she wouldn't use the covered box. From what I'm seeing here I doubt she would.

OK. New idea.

A litter box inside a litter box. The inside one should have taller sides - but it sits inside a larger one with litter in it - but not enough around the edges for her to want to pee in the area of the first one - so it's litter would just catch the pee if she pees over the edge. ???

That confused me Laurie. I'm tired, and upset....so smaller words.

Right now, I've got the same LB as picture above, with a underbed storage tub under it. Problem is, the underbed storage tub is the same size as the other LB so it defeats the purpose.

I know it's been a couple of weeks from hell for you Natalie. I just keep you and all the kitties and dogs in my prayers and send out vibes every time I think about you.

I was suggesting the set up you have. Only the underbed storage tub under the litter box would be larger, and there would be litter in the underbed storage tub to catch the pee that she pees over the edge of the actual litter box so it's easy to clean.

Did that make sense this time?

Makes sense....just have to find an underbed storage tub big enough....only one I've seen isn't wide enough.

Try the home-improvement stores. A cement mixing tub (sides are the same height as the underbed tub). Those things are huge.
