hyperesthesia caused by recent vaccine injection?

4 days ago uno had his vaccine. 3 days afterwards he displayed signs of hyperesthesia, dillated pupils , sudden fear, sprinting around the house. he does the sprinting about five times in a row, then he sits down and licks and growls. at night he showed fever and shivering under my bed sheets.
the vet told us to watch him.
is this normal behavior after vaccines?

If he still feels feverish I'd definitely tell the vet about it - it's not normal, and neither is a prolonged fear state.
