Memphis, Tn tornados- Anyone hear from Nikki? (StarryEyedTiger)

I looked up a news station in Nikki's area and it looks like there are areas without power around her. From what it said; they may be without power for a few weeks in this one area because they have to rebuild things there. Not sure how far or close that is to her exactly.

If anyone on tcs is close enough friends to have her phone or cell phone number, I hope you'll let us know when you get in touch with her, how she is doing, and let her know that we are all thinking of her.

I called Colin at work, but he has taken some time off and they didnt know when he would be back, probably for the move. The lady who answered said they didnt get any damage there, though.

So they are probably just in the middle of the move with no internet.

Hey ya'll ...just saw this thread, so I'll check in too. I live in middle TN and we were very blessed last night with just storms in my area. The tornadoes went just about all around us though and was predicted to pass right over us at one point, but moved just to the north. The sirens went off multiple times, the first one while I was at basketball practice for my younger son, so we had to stay there until that threat passed and then a couple more around 1-2 in the morning. It was about 3am before I ever went to bed, just because I stay up in case I have to get the family in our closet. Unfortunately, these threats have become too much of a regular thing over the past few years.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families who experienced the devastation last night!

I'm happy that those who have checked in are okay. Hopefully, everyone that we haven't heard from yet are well.

I'm pleased your all checking in I hope everyone else in that area stays safe as well but keep us updated when you can?

Glad to see you posting KittenKrazy. they were just showing the devastation on the news here, it is terrifying.

I hope this is not a forewarning as to what this summer's weather is going to be. Awfully early for tornados.

I'm so glad all our area members made it thru the storms ok

and I feel ya on the mobile home thing, KittenKrazy, a tornado warning is my greatest fear

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for praying for all of us that went through the storms. It really touched me how concerned you all are for each other! I can truly see how much of a family this forum is, and I can't wait to be a part of this group long enough to be not just a part of the forum but a part of the family of friends that the long-time members are! Pami - thanks for calling Colin's work. I really hope it's just the move and no Internet. But darn it - she could go to an Internet Cafe and just check in. It's been AGES since she's been on TCS!

Thats just what I was thinking! Truthfully, I had almost forgotten just how much of a family TCS is, and you don't have to have been here long to be part of that family, not if you take part in the forums even just a little bit! (of course, part of that is my fault for staying away a LOT for almost a year)
