Yesterday my kitten became familiar with our gas stove-top. (coffee was perking) His eyebrow wiskers got singed. He has been a tad lithargic since. Eating well but not the same playful little guy!

My question is will the singing cause him to feel ill? Will it through-off his equilibrium? I thought I read some where that damage to the wiskers can cause this.

When I was a kid our cat managed to singe the ends of his eyebrows by peeking over the top of a jack-o-lantern. He didn't suffer any ill effects.

If your cat is acting lethargic, a vet visit might be in order. It might be a good idea to make sure that he didn't get burned anywhere else, either externally or in his respiratory passages.
