I use FF and quick reply too. Often I haven't actually made a spelling error it's just set on US english.

Same here, I check my own spelling or edit my posts if I have spelled something wrong.

No, but I always preview my post before submitting.

Leave it to someone to be the troublemaker, eh?

I don't use it....mostly because I do not often have time....and I'm lazy when I do have the time.

I dont because I usually use AOL browser, but I should use IE so I can check.
I don't, but most of the time my misspelled words would still be a legit word...like typing time the other day came out item...I do preview the post alot though.

My preferred browser is Opera, so it's not available, but spelling is not a problem for me, and I tend to review my post a bazillion or so times before hitting submit, because of a severe case of "revisionitis", so I generally see any typos in time to correct them. There are exceptions to every known rule, though...

I sure try to remember to use it if I'm posting a long post, otherwise all you guys would think I'm illiterate

Nope, and I didn't even know there WAS a spell check. My browser automatically underlines incorrect or unknown words in a text box though.

Firefox catches my misspellings with a little red underline before I post.

I do sometimes and should use it more often than I do. I tend to type fast and make a lot of typos.

I did not notice that there was a spell check.

Actually, there is one for Opera, Fran: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=155027

This is an old thread of mine with links for IE and Firefox:http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...=spell+checker

I'm using Firefox as my default browser, so it picks up misspelled words automatically, though once in a while there's a conflict, because I have U.S. English, U.K. English, and German dictionaries as add-ons.

Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do but only because it is such a habit for me to do a spell check on everything. I got into the habit from writing memo's and reports for work.
I use it only when I remember. I should use it more often because English is not my first language.
Ahahahha no! It's the reason I have to go back and edit all my posts because of my "splellong!"
I do sometimes if I am unsure of a spelling of a word, but not normally. I almost always proof read though

Safari does the same [as i'm discovering] altho the WYSIWYG editing doesn't seem to work with it but that's all part of getting used to a new browser, i guess!

Nope never used one...at times i wished
i did lol

I actually use Wordsmyth when I doubt my spelling, plus I have spell check set on my computer. It checks all, but misses or questions some things................

I haven't even downloaded a spell check, but like many others, I proofread my posts. Now if we can get a grammar check, now that would be something.
