When I feed my two cats, Wingnut & Moonbat, the alpha male (Wingnut) takes over the food bowl and doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t let the female (Moonbat) eat until heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s finished. Most of the time, that means very little food is left (or none at all).

Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve taken to feeding Moonbat in a separate bowl, a couple of feet from the main bowl, where I feed Wingnut. This seems to work sort of; however, Wingnut sometimes decides to change bowls and in general, drives off Moonbat.

Should I separate the bowls further? Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d like to feed them in one place (in the kitchen), if at all possible.

I would feed them as far apart as needed so that both get what they need every day, as Moonbat needs to feel comfortable enough and have access to the right amount of food for her every day. I know that is just stating the obvious though.

Can you feed one at one end of the kitchen and the other at the other end? In our house, Charlie and Ling have their food bowls next to each other and pretty much eat out of their own bowl.

But when giving treats in the kitchen, if Ling doesn't eat her's before Charlie does, then he steals it from her

If the problem continues, then you might have to feed one cat in the kitchen and the other in a separate room till they are done eating.
