URIs are fun. I've only skimmed the thread.

What meds were prescribed?
For both BooBoo & Eek?
How old is Eek now?
Dehydrated?
Eating?

Eek is 7 weeks old and he was percribed "Clavamox" and then his wormer every other day....

BooBoo Has been perscribed just the "clavamox"

Eek has been dehydraded had to have some fluids! BooBoo wasn't so bad and
didn't need fluids!

They pick at their food but havn't really eaten good in a couple days! Boo BOO is also caughing up a storm!

IMO, if one has worms, so does the other. You might talk to the vet about deworming BooBoo, just not so often(he probably doesn't have them as bad).

If they aren't eating every 12 hours, I'd worry about fatty liver disease, esp. since Eek is so young & they're both sick. Have you tried any wet foods?

Clavamox is good, but if either kitty isn't doing much better within 3-5 days, call the vet & have them prescribe something stronger. Eek only being 7 weeks limits the options on anti-biotics.

I put the wet food out and they did eat most of the one can between the two of them so I guess they are starting to eat again.... I will get BooBoo wormed too since they have been really close since we got Eek! I didn't think of that!

I'm glad that you have a diagnosis now, and that everything is treatable. I wish you and your little ones the best of luck; you certainly deserve a break. Poor Eek, poor BooBoo, and poor you!

So last night I totally thought my Eek was gonna die. He was laying around just sicker than sick! Than today, he is running around the house like a crazy cat all over again! Him and BooBoo too! What happened there?? That must be some good stuff or something... He found a new toy also... It was my daughters mini stuffed horse and he stole it from her! Her being a horse fanatic wasn't going to have any of that so then Jake had to bribe her by getting her a better one in order to let Eek have that one!

He does look skinnier today, maybe thats just the dewormer?? maybe, hopefully!!

Im amazed, you should see how much energy they have, even my 7 y/o BooBoo seems to have more energy! (or maybe he just developed it quickly to defend himself huh??)

I've been so preoccupied, I wasn't keeping up on all of the threads.

I'm SO glad your babies are doing better... what a scare. Keep us posted.

Saya~ I think you've had worse issues than I have recently! Dont worry about it!! Its all good on my side right now!

I do happen to think that their "scares" that they give us can really help us bond with them though... By the time they get better they know you have been making them feel better with all the meds and stuff and are so loving to you!

He seems to be doing pretty well actually, Im kind of amazed. I guess I always assume the worst though...

The part that is bothering me right now is that he gets SO tired after I give him his meds! Maybe thats just a medication thingy though...

it very well could be...

did the vet mention that that could be a side effect of the medicine?

I am so glad your babies are doing better; what a scare! It is good to know that they are both up and running around again! Just keep watching them and give them all their meds even if they seem to be doing better.
