Who Else is in the Midst of this Blizzard?!

I'm up here in the Hudson Valley, NY... and we are having a doozy of a storm! Who's in this with me? I'm not looking forward to picking Jess up from work... ugh. Gotta shovel out the car...

... sigh.

I did stick my finger out and grab some snow from the roof for Kit, haha, since he's never seen snow... he licked it off my finger til it dripped on his paw, and then he cleaned the nasties off

Toronto is getting dumped on right now. It started at about 11 am (it's now 4), and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

I'll trade you the blizzard you have for the ice we got earlier this week.

Not yet! But I just heard that they're predicting 3-6 inches of snow plus ice between Saturday morning and Saturday evening.

We're getting dumped on as well. Not as much as Connecticut of Massachusetts, but we're getting it. I left work at 1:45, and didnt get home till 3:20ish. It should only take me less than an hour.

So after this storm, we clean up, and prepare for another one Saturday night/ Sunday. It's this time of the year that makes me want to move to Florida or someplace warm.

I live in Minnesota, we had our snow storm a few weeks back, it is times like this that I am glad I don't drive or work, I don't have to go out there unless I want to.

Yep, just got back from MA after DRIVING THROUGH the snow storm. We left at 10 AM and got back to the office at 6:00 pm.

It took us 4 hours to get through CT at 20 mph.

Boston area gal here. Gotta be at least 8 inches here, and traffic still gridlocked in many areas. Glad I'm at home!

And I was complaining about our ice storm!

Stay safe everyone!!

Started snowing here around 3:00 and still coming down. I'd guess around 5 inches so far enough to make it a night to stay home and off the roads..And darn cold 10' degrees outside my window now!

My niece's car broke down on the highway. She had to abandon it. It took her 8 hours for a normally 30 minute drive.

I go to work in the afternoon, and was called before noon to not come in. We had snow starting at eight this morning, it's been nasty. I made soup for DH and me. I made a dry soup mix that is layered and very colorful, in a pint jar and uses mushroom broth. I made six of these for gifts, I thought it would be nice to see how it actually tasted. Thank goodness it was very good. Pretty is nice, but tasty is essential. I also tried out a white gingerbread recipe, dry ginger, fresh ginger and candied ginger, not bad. It's nice to get some unexpected time off and to do things I haven't had time for.
Gee, now what do I do for the Nor'easter this weekend?

Second storm this week up in eastern Ontario!
We got a little drizzle late this afternoon, but it hit 80 today so not to worried about a blizzard. Next week is supposed to be back to "normal" temperatures for this time of year (highs ~50 lows ~30).

aaawwwww!!!!

Hitting the records down here at 80 degrees w/ a breeze!

No wonder you say you're in the North Pole. I lived in Ottawa for a number of years -- now, that's a cold city!

No blizzard here, but we are in a deep freezer! With the wind chill it's -33 degree Celsius = -27.4 degree Fahrenheit

Well I'd have checked in from upstate NY, but it took me literally 24 hours to get home

I left work at 2, ended up in a ditch about 100 ft from my parents' house and ended up staying there overnight after AAA got me out of the ditch...crappy internet at the folk's house...but a nice big TV

Had a fun sleepover, but missed DH and the kitties --oh and when I got home, DH laughed at me because I looked like a dork wearing my sister's clothes (about 4 sizes too big)...

Ouch! 24 hours to get home?!?!? I see the northwest is going to get rocked some more tonight. We're due for a measly 3-6" tonight which is actually a decent sized storm for the area.

and another one on the way, stay safe people!

We had a brutally cold day here today, was -26C when I left for work this morning and stayed really cold until about 7P.M. It is warmer now at 9:45 but the snow has started again and they are saying another 7-9" again overnight.
Add that to the 14.5" we got on Tuesday and Wednesday I have to say we are getting quite the pile of snow here.

We got hit fairly nicely today. Slippery roads, snow, cars crawling everywhere and not a snowplow to be seen This town drives me nuts! I can go over the bridge and the roads are clear but over here, they are horrible and we have lots more trucks then they do over the river!!!
I haven't even seen a plow yet since I've been home, and that was at 4:45. It took me a good 1/2 hour to get home when it usually takes me about 5 to 10 minutes.

It just started raining here. Our low tonight is forecast for 38, with a high of 48 tomorrow, so we should make it out just soggy here! And believe me, I'm grateful!
