Had to put my Hamster to sleep

We tried to get your hair to grow back with medication, but you just kept getting worse. Little did I know how much pain you were in when you could barely wobble to the front of your cage. I knew at that moment that only one of us would be coming home from the vet. Rest in peace sweet little angel and know that I hope you hadn't suffered for too long. You deserved to just be able to fall asleep and no longer feel the pain. I will be thinking of you each day as I go and look out at the pond and know that you are in a safe place with the flower bed. You were the best hamster I have ever had.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Even the smallest of creatures reach in and grab our heart don't they?

They sure do. I was just bawling at the vet because I knew it would be the best for her. I just can't watch them when they start to suffer. All creatures great or small deserve to rest in peace.

Aw...I'm so sorry. I have three rats right now, and I know how attatched you can be. I've also owned hamsters, and when I lost one, I cried alot.

Rest in Peace, little one. Say hello to Snowy, Pumpkin, and Doodle for me.

When I was little, I had a hamster named Hercules. He used to run and run on his little wheel in his cage. He caught a cold and died a few days later. I was so upset because I didn't undertstand that he was gone. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm very sorry about your hamster. Poor little guy. You know, I also knew, in my heart, when I took Jake to the vet that I was the only one that was going to come home. It's just a feeling we get inside and I think it is the minds way of helping us cope.
