I've thought of using the Meow Mix Market Selects cups as treats, but first wanted to know if anyone has any experiences with them, good or bad?

I currently use Sheba as a treat, but thought about adding to the rotation. My crew eats Wellness wet and dry as their normal food.

Ferris and Ginger eat MM wet every night for dinner, and Penny eats Sheba for her dinner.

The pouches are cheaper than the cups and contain the same amount of food.

MM is extremely high in fish but are more nutritionally complete than the Sheba.

Any specific questions?

Mine love the shrimp flavored, but can only occasionally be allowed to have the MM. For some reason it gives both boys diarrhea.
I find that rather odd because Sho used to be able to eat it with out problems.
Maybe they changed something about it a few months ago?

Mine love it, as long as I don't give them the flavors with wheat gluten. There are two types - some flavors are shredded meat in gravy, and others are cuts in gravy (with wheat gluten).

So it's actually a complete meal, with vitamins and such? I thought by looking at the Meow Mix site that it was more like Sheba, but with different flavors. I'll probably still look into it though, since it sounds like you all are all using it with good results.

Thanks so much!

If wheat gluten is a concern, I know the Shrimp & Tuna and Salmon & Crab cups have no wheat gluten. They have equivalent flavors in the pouches ("What's the Catch" and "Upstream Dream."). Wally eats these as his main wet food.

the MM cups are the only wet food Oliver won't turn his nose up to other than the really horrible for you nasty cheap canned food (the only reason I know is cuz my mom uses those cheap foods to bait our ferral trap and OCCASIONALLY Oliver will be allowed a nibble of it if he's overly beggy about it)... my vet's not thrilled that he's on MM wet and dry but it's really all I can afford - I'm still unemployed and loan payments start soon - Oliver only likes the "meat" flavors (chicken, beef, turkey) even though they contain fish juices.. .I tried the seafood ones and he doesnt like them - weird... my vet's very adament (sp? haha) about male cats having absolutely NO seafood... idk, he won't eat anything else, so it's either this or no wet food - I've tried raw and cooked chicken and beef and he has no interest, just pretends to hunt it on the floor then gets bored, but she insists he eats wet too even though he drinks plenty of just plain water... ugh! She needs to have some give and take here haha cuz Ollie's "particular"
