giving kittens bath

I have a 6 month and 8 week, should I give them a bath?
the 8 week just recently joined us 4 days ago where he was w/ other cats...maybe if i get rid of that smell, my older cat will stop fighting him?

I recommend 3 things when introducing that have the most success:

1. Sprinkle them both with cornstarch baby powder and rub in.

2. Put a dab of vanilla extract on nose/butt.

3. Wash cats/kittens in the same shampoo.

All of the above will take away the stranger smells and the cats seem more accepting.

You can wash both of them - just be sure to rinse well and get all soap out of the coat. Put a little conditioner on after rinsing the shampoo and then rinse cat/kitten again.

My show cats get a bath before each show. The rest may get a bath a few times a year. Unless you are showing your cats, a bath every few months is ok.
