Can't Fix it? Let a kid try!

My cell phone has been acting up all day. It kept powering on and off and not wanting to charge.
I was just about to throw it across the room when my oldest son said "Let me try"
I figured what the hay, it's junk now.

So he was taking it apart and lord knows what he did to it when he did, but it's working now!!!!!!!

This is the same child who has been taking remote controls, radios, and even a microwaves apart since he was 2 years old (He's almost 10).

I guess we've found his talent!

There's lots of money in being able to fix things.

It's amazing how well kids can take things apart. I think it's mostly because they have grown up with all these devices and they naturally know a lot about them.

Wow, that's really cool. He is a talented kid! Be careful, though, and don't let him work on things with radioactive parts, like microwaves, and I'd keep him away from electronics with lasers, too.

Yes, there's mercury in computers, radioactive material in smoke detectors, and a residual electrical charge in TV sets... maybe he should do some research online before he tackles these things, to be sure what he's getting into...?

Souns like my cousin's boyfriend as a kid. He's an engineer now and hopefully starting a very high paying job, esp for someone fresh out of college!!

Justice does the same thing!
He knows how to work anything electronic.
I really wish they had a program for children his age for things like this.

He struggles in school with reading and writing but he's a whiz with electronics and even mechanics.
