Whats up with all the bitting?!?!

My 8 week~ old kitten loves to play, but he also loves to bite the living crap out of me. Its not always hard, sometimes he softly chews on my fingers as he licks them.


Is he going to stop soon? Its getting annoying.

Little kittens teethe like children do. He could be going through that phase.

When you play with your kitten, be sure to use toys such as wands etc.. that keep your hands away from the play action. That way the kitten will learn not to associate your fingers and hands for play toys.

Went through that not too long ago with my younger cat - she was teething - I actually found one of her "milk teeth" on the floor!

The wand type toys are wonderful! There's also toys if you wanted to buy them, that are made for teething kittens - gnawing rings. They're colorful and the kitten can toss them around and play and gnaw away on the ring...
