Dale, my maine coon, is doing well, 2 days after surgery. He's physically fine and not psychologically scarred as far as I can tell. I mean yeah all cats are about 75% insane by nature, but apparently he's not as concerned by losing...those...as I would be. he probably didn't even know they were there. He's the same old Dale, trying to kick my other cat's a** all the time but failing miserably.
My mom's cat (the half-sister of Dale, from same breeder) got spayed and front declawed with a laser, and is also doing great. (I dont agree with declawing, but its their cat and their decision so I dont want any guff from you)
Now here's my question. My GF's cats (both female) got fixed a month ago, and both were just..not right, for a few days afterward. Walking oddly, sleeping all the time. I know a spay is more invasive than a neuter, but my moms cat is jumping on and off of furniture and running around full of energy after that surgery (plus a declaw, even!). Is my vet just better? Do my GF's cats just have less constitution to deal with injury?
