I haven't done one bit of shopping yet. I have to wait till the end of the month, I am getting a bonus check this year and DH and I decided since its a bonus we will just act like we never got it in the first palce and use it for fun things. We have our budget all worked out so my part is going twards my SS gifts. I already know everything she/he will be getting I just need to wait till I get my bonus.

Yep - and if you ship food etc overseas, make sure it says sealed food, so that customs doesn't confiscate it. No fruits, etc.

I buy more for my SS than the cats. I do include the cats but the bulk of my shopping is for my SS.

Can you imagine my own SS having to buy for all of my crew!!! Or even Katie's???
They would be broke halfway through the count with nothing left over for poor little old Katie and Eva.

i'm waiting till next month, too. i'm also planning on doing some baking this year, so i want to wait on that till next month, so it's done right before mailing - that way everything's fresh!

BTW, everyone - since several of us are including home-made treats, i recommend opening as soon as receiving - at least the big box. then we'll work on getting you to open everything else!

I collect kitty stuff all year when I see it on sale (toys don't go bad, as long as they are well hidden from my own holligans!). So there's a bunch of kitty stuff, but that pretty well saves most all of my budget for my SS.

I've bought almost evenly for my SS human and for their kitties. I still am looking for one thing to purchase for my SS human and I have one thing to make for my SS human and one thing to make for their kitties. Then I will be able to start wrapping and getting it ready to ship. I LOVE wrapping pretty presents!!!
I'm constantly at the Post Office because I send stuff nearly weekly to my sister in San Diego...but I always keep forgetting to ask about shipping times to (___insert destination here____).

I just signed up for the SS at work. We're doing something a little different this year. We always do small gifts for each day of week. $5/day and then a $20 gift for the potluck/party at the end. This time we have sort of a theme.
Monday something that sparkles
Tuesday something green
Wednesday something sweet
Thursday something that smells good
Instead of a gift on Friday, this year we're having a potluck on Saturday and the final gift is whatever you wish to give. We're doing this the first week of December. Sounds like fun!

Well, one of the things I bought was a "some assembly required" so I've been working on that today. I have to say, now that I'm putting it together it's SO COOL I think I might have to get one for myself.

I Think that I have everything ordered - waiting to hear on one more item which is "backordered" I also bought some homemade catnip pouches from the Animal Allies yard sale that I worked at on Saturday. It got a "cat seal of approval" from my kids -
well, they got their own catnip to sample!

I went to the store last night and bought three bags of Dove Milk Chocolate Promises With Almonds. When I got home, I looked at my list of SS clues. My SS prefers dark chocolate. Gee...... I certainly CAN'T let the milk chocolate promises go to waste....

It's this kind of dedication that sets TCSer's apart from plain, ordinary people.
Try not to suffer too much with those three bags.

I ordered the cutest thing for my SS. I got it and loved it. But thought, maybe they would like it in a different color better, yes, I'm sure they would. So I had to order another one and guess I will keep this one for myself.
