Spot, bwess his wittle heart, has clops of litter between the pads on each of his feet. I've tried to help him get it out, but he's not having it!!

Let's pretend he'll let me mess with his paws, what can I do? Or will they just wear off if he doesn't chew it all off first *YUCK*

Poor little fella.....help him get that stuff off his little paws!!! You could let him play in the tub after you run some water to help loosen it up, them have that fella of yours to hold him while you wipe those little footies with a damp wash cloth. OR you could dip those little toes in a cup of warm water while your SO holds him, then clean and dry them with a towel! Just a few ideas.....LOL

won't the water just make it clump harder though?

I have no idea what to do though, I think he'll chew it out himself
I'd say pull it off, but that might be uncomfortable....for everyone involved!

No, warm water will make it fall apart, especially clumping litter, making it easier to remove, or it has when I've had to get it off paws. I always worry they will make their paws sore trying to pull it off!

He always sits on the tub's edge when I"m in the shower and I did think of sitting him in there when I was done.

Is this a long or short hair cat?

If long, then you need to work it out. If short, it should just come out. I agree on putting his foot under warm water and working it out. But dry throughly and hopefully he won't go right back to the pan till its totally dry.

He is short haired, and this morning a lot of it is gone. I realized how it happened though. The litter box is on the porch (they can't leave the porch) and when it rains, the gutter is clogged so it floods the porch in the middle. I guess he walked through the water to and from the litter box the other day when it rained so much. Thanks for the suggestions.
